I know, I know. I looked into importing one before the JT, had a hard time swallow the idea of $25-35k for a 25 year old vehicle. I was looking for a mint condition one to replace my 87 FJ60. Unicorns.
This is AWESOME! $2300.00. Heck the Alpine head unit is more than that. Of course the question is how good will it be, reliability etc. Seems like Insane Audio is having a fair amount of issues even with the new 4001 model. This one doesn't list much info on their site either.
"If Toyota would just bring the HiLux or the Land Cruiser 70 series here" I have been saying that for years.
Don't get me wrong, I love my JTR, but a twin turbo V8 Diesel, solid axle front and rear with a manual transmission. . . .
I have done this often, small light stuff. 16' items only in the bed sticking that far out . . .just waiting for a ticket or loss of said items.
Grabbing the wife's truck to tow the 12' dump trailer to pick up some trim molding or PVC pipe is just a hassle.
Is that the new Chevy? I can't tell. Stupid engineer's they have another 12" to make it bigger.
Soon there will be some jack wagon with a white FORD sticker covering half of their windshield on one of these.
My wife made ours out of paracord and connectors. They wrap around the roll bar. They do not interfere with the Sun Rider top, Freedom panels and since we don't use the bolts for the top, they stay with the jeep when the top comes off.
We did make sure the 2 that go wrap the roll bar are tight...

Rubicon w/Manual Trans Stock Suspension: 4 LO, locked F/R 3rd Gear and it just goes. Hasn't let me down yet, haven't had to use the winch yet. 1st Jeep, still excited when I see it in the driveway.
Also, I think it rides fantastic but it is solid axle so wash board will make you pucker at...
I used the Metra kits, front and rear. Everything went together just fine. Not sure what the Select Increments mean on magnet clearance fpr the 6.5/6.75 units. I have some old Boston Pro 6.5's in there with the Metra and there is still plenty of clearance. The 6.5's have very large magnets and...
I wouldn't do that. Subs have specific requirements to work correctly and not fail. Also the factory enclosure is plastic and limited to the low power amp the Alpine "upgrade" offers.
Probably way more than you want to do, but something to ponder long term...
How Rain-X has not been sued out of business is beyond me. This is back when they only had the little bottle where you would put it on the exterior side of the widows after you cleaned your car. Its great, till you use your windshield wipers, then they just streak and cannot see out the...
This right here makes me now want to do the lift. My hesitation is getting in with a lift and larger tires. Thank you.
But: "Nutted up the bracket to the studs and rock rail." :CWL:
Story time!
Technically, no chips or cracks since new April 2021, YES I just knocked on wood! However, after a delay because of the manual transmission firmware "Fire Hazard" update bumped delivery up from 4 weeks to a full 4 months!! There was a crack because it was shipped to me via truck...
