When mine went out, i was driving and it started to studder and bucking trying to keep going, and that is why i thought maybe it was something driveline related.
There is a recall now on all diesels due to the fuel pump. It started with just a certain number of affected pumps but just a couple months ago they updated the recall to include all diesels. So yours is probably stuck due to the recall and they are waiting for the replacement parts before...
This will be interesting for me. My fuel pump went out on NYE and Jeep ended up replacing the entire fuel system. Which took about 50 days for all the parts and installation to be completed. But they replaced the pump with the same 68501449AA part that is listed in the new recall. My jeep was...
Kind of sounds like what happened to me on NYE. Leaving the store and was accelerating out of the parking lot and then all of the sudden it started to clunk and make noise like possible drivetrain issues. I was at about 24K miles when it happened and it was less than 8 months old.
Ended up that...
Jeep only offered to extend the years that the factory warranty cover and not the mileage. So instead of the 5 year 100K mile warranty it would be 7 year 100k mile warranty. Which i am already at 22.5K miles within less than 1 year of owning my jeep. So i will easily pass the 100K miles in 5...
Got my jeep from the dealer... again. Apparently one of the new fuel injectors was leaking at the base and faulty from the supplier. They replaced it this morning and test drove it several times and no more leaking. Hopefully that is it and I can enjoy my jeep again.
Picked up my gladiator again this afternoon. Tech found that one of the fuel injectors was leaking at the base and faulty from the supplier. They ended up replacing the leaky injector and tested drove it several times and no leaks. Fingers crossed that is the last of it. Got 37s arriving...
My jeep was in the dealer since Dec 31, 2022 for a blown CP4 pump. My Vin doesn't show up under the recall but the dealer confirmed that the CP4 went out and shot metal debris through the entire fuel system. The dealer finally got all the parts for the fuel system, including the replacement pump...
Well that lasted less than 24 hours. Picked it up on Friday evening and went to drive to the store Saturday morning and when I get back home it was pissing diesel all over the engine and my driveway.... had it towed back to the dealer and they are supposed to get a new tech on it first thing...
Well finally got my gladiator back. But of course they forgot to put the engine cover back on it, so now have to go back tomorrow to get it put on. For anyone curious here is the write up with the part numbers
I understand that, but the service rep assigned to my repair can't even tell me what parts are being replaced, what parts have been installed and what parts still need to be installed. Their excuse is because they can't see anything until the report is completed when the job is finished...
Well i was hoping that my jeep would be done last friday, like the dealer said. But as of today, they have still not finished the repairs. They said that they only have 1 diesel tech and they are pulling that tech off to work on other jeeps. They have had the parts now for over 2 weeks and said...
