  1. Transmission service

Though you, me and some others know about this BS, what isn’t BS is FCA will deny your tranny warranty if you ever have to go in for tranny service. Ask me how I know. It was a tragic start for my first time Jeep ownership. Something was wrong, I tried to fix it myself by a simple oil change and...
  2. Transmission service

    Your transmission will thank you.
  3. Transmission service

What was the mileage on the first and second pan drop? Good for you knowing how to do it.
  4. Muffler removal?

Does removing any one of these mufflers help with gas mileage?
  5. Got bored, decided to build a semi float 60 rear axle

Must be nice to be bored! I should try it.
  6. Power steering quit and then started working again a couple of miles later

Having not ever been a ā€œjeep guyā€, I am convinced they are very bullet proof if you just give it time and throw lots of components and money at it. They’ll come around!
  7. Power steering quit and then started working again a couple of miles later

I’ve seen a tech on Facebook point blame on the TCM connector that is just on the other side of the front passenger mud guard. Water gets in and has caused a crap load of issues for us. It’s the same kind of connector we undue to take our front doors off and we all know the crap we have to deal...
  8. Auto transmission rear seal leak??

Got word from National Transmission that the output shaft seal is available and the Chrysler warehouse outside of Calgary has the seal. His book shows the job at 5 hours for the 850RE $800 cad. He said if it’s a transfer case seal, there isn’t one and the whole TC would have to be replaced...
  9. Auto transmission rear seal leak??

If it’s a rear tranny seal, is it repairable or am I looking at transmission #5? If it’s a transfer case seal, is it repairable?
  10. Auto transmission rear seal leak??

21 JTR, 3.6, 107k kms TL, (32k kms on 4th transmission) Oil seepage is at the rear of the transmission where it bolts up to the transfer case. Anyone have experienced this before?
  11. Flashing light, misfiring

I’m not sure if every reader can access Chrysler’s fire wall and tell you what you want to know. Some of us have needed the ā€œgateway bypass cableā€ (others can chime in here about this). In my case the ThinkCar diag didn’t need the cable but the upgraded one I have now does.
  12. Flashing light, misfiring

I have found that when the engine check light has self healed and the dealership plugs in their reader, they can’t see the code and say ā€œthere’s no stored codeā€ and send you off to monitor it. I’ve used THINKCAR for years as a reader and it reads those codes Chrysler says isn’t there. More...
  13. Angry Wrangler And Gladiator Owners Are Taking Jeep To Court...

And then there’s some of us that want our rigs to go up in smoke and they won’t! Anyone in this camp? Raise your hand if you’re in on a class action!

  15. New TAZR add on

No body move and nobody gets hurt. Back away slowlyā€¦šŸ˜¬
  16. My absolute nightmare Jeep Gladiator Experience over the last 20 months

I got a price on the seals, alone: (2021 JTR, 3.6, auto) PART# 68396635AA - $186. cad PART # 68398727AA - $106. cad TL $306.60 after tax. (Cad) $137 USD before tax. Parts guy said one seal is two weeks away and the other seal has waiting list and no ETA.
  17. New TAZR add on

If the transmission has been ā€œrestrictedā€ for as long as it’s been operating and it’s ā€œlearnedā€ this way,..now it has this harness that shuts off TC, shouldn’t the transmission be reflashed to start the learning all over again? It sounds like rev hang or gears not shifting is a result of what...
  18. Diesel cooling options and ideas

I’m assuming the pan is aluminum and only magnet is the drain plug? Can other magnets sit under the filter and be held in place by the filter? Do you have to grind the cooling fins for the exhaust pipe?
  19. AUX battery my 2 cents - had to vent

From all the reading I’ve done on this my take-a-way is that the system works as it should if the aux battery was any good. I decided to ditch both my batteries but kept the system, not for the start stop feature but for the extra 220 amps my ā€œupgradedā€ aux provides. It’s there as a just in case...
