I have my fingers crossed that the phaser is the issue. The code P000A is supposed to be a phaser related code as the actuator has its own fault code P0010 I believe. Waiting on parts. I will update of course when I get the phaser replaced.
@DAVECS1 , I kept all solenoids/sensors/reluctor rings separated from each other and away from any magnetic fields. The phasers both sat under the chain and were relatively un-disturbed as I slid them off the cams far enough to remove the cams/rockers/lash adjusters. I did try the phaser...
That’s something I wanted to mention as well. Only two of the incorrect lash adjusters could be partially collapsed by hand. They did spring back, but the other 4 were solid and wouldn’t budge. In pulling the Bank 2 lash adjusters, which were correct, there were also two that had any slack and...
P.S.
When I try to initiate the process to clean the phasers through Alfaobd orJSCAN three behave like they should, with clicking as the phasers blast oil through the OCVs, but the Bank 1 Intake almost kills the engine every single time and eventually pops a “bank1 intake cam lazy to respond”...
So the one thing I didn’t replace under my bank 1 camshaft cover was the phasers. I did replace both VVL solenoids as well. It’s back together now. Wrong rockers on the intake cam, but it just barely started to slap the lobes (stuck high lift?) so it has been sitting waiting on parts. Long story...
You’re spot on Dave. The flat tappet, non-roller high lift part is not very high-tech, or friction free. Add the incorrect lifters and bled oil pressure and no wonder the cam/rockers get chewed up. My question or rather fear is what amount of this silver slurry got fed to the bearings and small...
So far, every pic I’ve seen here or otherwise, the cam is chewed and the lifters are wrong. Mine is the same on Bank 1. Wrong lifters, scored camshaft, ruined rockers. To those looking into bank 2, my lifters were correct on that side. No issues with my cams on bank 2 other than two rockers...
@DAVECS1.
For the masses that will probably look to this thread for reference I think mopar part numbers will help them order if/when this repair falls onto them.

I am one of those hybrids I take it? I have been patiently waiting for a working drivable tune. It has been an ongoing battle and the busier Dave gets I know I move further down the line. He’s had his hands full with my Mojave since February. I have not daily driven my truck since we started...

I did and they went in with little effort. It took from 07/26/21 to 12/2/21, so it is a long wait. 100% worth it.
[QUOTE="SpecialK,
Yes you’ll change your tail/stop/turns to LED and then go into US>Euro and deactivate rear turn signal diagnostics. If you’re still waiting you can mess with the adaptation settings to familiarize yourself. I think JSCAN and ALFAOBD are a requisite for any Mopar owner. ALFA...
I received mine yesterday from Vivid Racing (ordered 7/26/21), so for those who didn’t preorder earlier this year they will arrive, eventually. As far as installation, took a whopping 19 minutes total. JSCAN took another 30 because I had to try to adjust the speedo again for the 35s. Set all...
Installed my Oracle bumper lights w/PNP harness last night in about 20 minutes. I’m thinking they updated their harness and gave a little extra on the lights themselves. Mine fit perfect, had about 6 inches of slack on both sides, and went in easily. Just waiting for the tail lights to ship to...
Lighting upgrades are just the top of the iceberg for AlfaOBD. Just be careful of the changes made. Some cause chaos. But if you know what was changed it’s easy to revert it back.
