  1. Diesel - Will i regret regearing to 4.88?

Dyno numbers DO NOT represent the real world because they are done full open throttle in the transmission gear closets to 1:1 ratio, so 7th gear. The whole run you are looking at is a one gear run, and thats why you are seeing those RPM and toqure number. I googled and looked at a few EcoDiesel...

  3. Diesel - Will i regret regearing to 4.88?

You are wrong on the RPM, see the chart. Changing gears is to get you back into the working RPM range of the engine. We do not drive 3.6L with max torque 4,400 RPM. Max power of the diesel is 1,400 RPM (Diesel has 182 ft lbs of torque more than the 3.6) and we have a turbo diesel that loves...

4.10s with 37s will get you back to stock RPM vs MPH. You diesel will have no problem moving those tires and will not hurt your MPG as much.

  9. Cancel 3.6 Gas order for a new 3.0 Ecodiesel order?

Lots of assumptions on here by people who don't own a EcoDiesel. I had two 3.6 JKs and they are the reason I bought a EcoDiesel. The power alone is worth the extra money you pay. I live at 7000ft above sea level and normally aspirated engines lose over 21% of their horsepower compared to about...

  17. Oil leakage on Diesel Gladiator

Degrease the engine and monitor. My oil cooler and timing chain cover was leaking. They resealed the timing chain cover and replaced the oil cooler gasket (nickle to quarter size puddles). It still leaked after the repair. They replaced the the oil cooler assembly and I've had my jeep back for a...
  18. Oh snap there might be a DPF Delete now :D

Electronic fuel injection is the biggest contributor to lowering emissions and fighting smog not cats. In my turbo car days I have seen people get a emissions test with hollowed out cats and pass with flying colors with stock tunes.
