Lol, yep definitely a concern. My Z06 had 4500 miles on it when I bought it a couple of years ago and I went ahead and did H/C/I just for the peace of mind after hearing all of the tales of gloom and doom.
There are plenty of stories of consuming 1-2 qts between oil changes, but the Coyote (especially with the A10 behind it) aren't to be taken lightly...and that's coming from an LS7 guy.lol
I'd like that too, sans the 8' bed. Something in the 6.5' would work for me and look sweet. Shorter frame, different spring rates, etc but wouldn't be a major undertaking to pull off for FCA.
I would buy one in yellow too. Like was stated before, I also tend to like brighter colors on Jeeps. The current color choices, outside of the standard gray, silver, white, black, red are kinda underwhelming.
Definitely sounds like the dealer dropped the ball and didn't place the order right away. I ran into the same thing years ago when ordering from a local Chevy dealer...person that was supposed to have submitted the order resigned and nobody ever thought to follow up on her responsibilities...

It seems like the dealerships are still convinced that these are gonna sell themselves or there is going to be some ramped up demand for them at some point. I suppose there was, initially, for Jeep enthusiasts. First dealership I went to (I bought my Z06 from them, used, about 18 months ago)...
I agree. That's why I ordered one. I've got a SuperDuty for the heavy lifting and just wanted something "fun" that I could still haul stuff in and do some weekend overlanding trips in.
Your's is worth as much as anyone else's here! I think along with the cost savings, it was done to help the perceived bodyline/side view of the truck. To me Gladiators look REALLY long and somewhat disproportionate until they get a little lift and/or some meatier tires beneath them. And, I've...
Even if the numbers are terrible, they'll likely keep it in production until the wrangler gets it's next major overhaul. I do agree that there will probably be some DEEP discounts start popping up to move Sport and Overland models. Plenty of them already sitting around on lots locally. Almost...
