Why not fix those items? None of those sounds that bad. My Ranger was a genuine, documented, piece of garbage.
The JT clutch issue is a little pathetic but otherwise I've been extremely happy with my Jeep. If mine got totalled tomorrow however, I'd probably go look at the new Canyon or a manual...
I had a 5G Ranger that was a PIECE. OF. CRAP. Had many issues, the trans being one of them. I really just wanted a manual truck and the Jeep was a good option for me so I got rid of the ranger after 8 months. The way the Jeep looks and the top coming off is mostly cool factor for me. I don't...
@Badunit appreciate the detailed response. I've always felt that it's likely normal but being my first vehicle that doesn't have rack and pinion, I wondered that maybe it wasn't and I'd never know.
I did a little experiment where I moved the wheel back and forth like shown in the video while I...
Manufacturers, Clayton, AEV, Synergy, and more, all say you need 0ish offset wheels but after two years of owning my truck, I haven't seen a good explanation for why this is. 35s work on factory suspension but not a lift? I don't get it it.
@Jglad15
Yes, now they are all pushing upper 7000s which wasn't the case just 5 years ago before all the newest generation trucks started coming out. May or may not have much bearing on purchase decisions but it seems to be a huge topic in truck forums. People talk about 100lb payload...
Only close the driver door to the first "click" and it won't honk. Alternatively, I'll just have my humanoid robot get out of the car and handle the menial tasks while I stay in the driver seat.
Just throwing this out there: I'd estimate that I see 100 non-Jeep midsize trucks for every JT I see. Most people want a pickup truck, not a Jeep, and the JT is a Jeep Wrangler with a pickup bed. Ford, Chevy, Toyota all offer trucks with big payloads and towing capacity now and better engine...
Bone stock sport s with the exception of 33" wild peaks. Truck is OFF in the video. Is this roughly normal?

I believe you can adjust the cables for the shifter. I think Centerforce has a video on this. My Mazda was the same way after installing a short shifter and I adjusted the cables to fix it.
On my 5G Ranger, there was a procedure to bleed the ABS pump that was entirely done with a computer. Sounds like the same thing here. Enough people have replaced those lines that we'd know about any issues by now.
That looks great. Didn't know RC made steps like that. After installing the factory steps (got them for free from another GA member), I still feel they're way too tall to be of much use. Some trim lok on the pinch weld would probably help it look less barren in that area.
