I actually had this same issue in my JLU. I realized that because the hood tapers in and I couldn't see the edge of my fenders I was actually angling the Jeep instead of straightening it when parking along side something. Backing in with nothing on either side was straight every time.

Just by looking at your wheels I could immediately tell you're also from Florida lol
