That's an oversimplification of what is really going on, but I can't go further without delving into politics. You are right though, until something is done, this is the new norm.
My AT&T Jeep hotspot works great now. When I was first using it, after the first year, it stopped working, and then after about 6 months, Jeep flashed my UConnect software remotely, and suddenly my hotspot was working again. It has worked ever since.
AT&T gave me 6 months free because of...
18 year car note? Jeep owners by and large don't even keep their Jeep longer than 2 years. They dump $50,000 into their project, then sell it and move on. For a loss, I'm guessing.
Just reporting back, the new tires are great, I never have any trouble hitting 8th gear but I didn't really expect to....makes me wonder though, if I had gone with 295/70/17's. I'm loving the Wildpeaks though, they seem like a great tire and they handle water like the old ones did.
Not sure what you mean by cheap....I bought a Rough Country trifold cover, it's aluminum and it folds back to the third partition only. Still, it's pretty rugged, and it doesn't leak, and it was pretty easy to install. I've encountered some hail damage, but to me that gives it some character...
First, I would never, ever, trade a gasser for....that. Second, I've read more than one article stating that the Rivian is not going to make it. I guess we'll see.
I love the setup. Do you worry at all about somebody smashing the window at night and ripping it out? I have my CB radio mounted down by the middle hump, and I take it out of the Jeep every night because I'm paranoid that somebody will take a look inside and think it's something valuable and...
I got my CB tuned, ordered a SWR meter off of Amazon, and after watching many youtube videos on how to do it, I got mine set up with 1.3 on channel 1, and 1.4 on channel 40. So far, the furthest conversation I've had was about 3.5 miles away, but I'm still playing around.
I forgot how much fun...
After getting back from a vacation, I had time today to work on getting the cable run. I ran it through the rear top, there should be enough cushion there where it won't leak into the cab, and won't crush the cable.
The cable comes out behind the back seat, and i run it down to under the back...
All I can tell you is, in the past few months, I've been seeing more Gladiators than I ever have. Seems like I see them everywhere now, it's kinda fun actually.
Okay so I got the antenna in today. It may be too long, but I'll know more after I get the cable run through the cabin and hook it up to the SWF meter and see if it needs tuning. Hopefully, it won't be all that much.
I'll try running the cable through the back, between the body and the top...
So, like I mentioned, some of the other hardware came in today. One was the coax/antenna adapter, and the other was the tension spring. I installed the adapter, and I put the spring on just to see what it would look like.
The spring is a Wilson, and so is the 18 foot coaxial cable I...
