  1. Sirius/Satellite Antenna

I miss gas station maps….. and the joy of folding them back up!
  2. Sirius/Satellite Antenna

So I'm under the impression that the OEM antenna is a combination Sirius and GPS for the nav system. Are any of the aftermarket antennas set up like this and are they an improvement in reception? I'm unsure of the route to go. Seen the visor mounting and a mounting in the grill at the base of...
  3. Sirius/Satellite Antenna

I'm near Gorham, in Saco. Need to relocate antenna due to rooftop obstructions. Freedom panels can be removed but not the hardtop. Trying to decide if I should just buy another antenna and cable or try to get to the OEM.
  4. Sirius/Satellite Antenna

Can the antenna be accessed and removed with the hardtop in place?
  5. Alucab RTT Aero Mod

I'm too old to explain a snowboard on my roof….
  6. Alucab RTT Aero Mod

Gave a seal or brush edge some thought for sure. Decided it would be a concern of chafing and spoiling the roof. May try something temporary as an experiment. Thanks for the kind words. No need to apologize for your opinion! And I appreciate it now.
  7. Alucab RTT Aero Mod

Won't know if there are any mpg gains until next weekend. Pretty sure I'll see some change though. Looks faster!!
  8. Alucab RTT Aero Mod

Painted low gloss engine enamel and installed on the truck.
  9. Alucab RTT Aero Mod

Scuffed up with Scotchbrite and degreased. Ready for etching primer.
  10. Alucab RTT Aero Mod

Here are some shots of the build up.
  11. Alucab RTT Aero Mod

I've run my Alucab Cap and RTT with 270 awning for 3 years now and love it. The only drawback for me is the bit of a mpg hit I took at 75mph. At 55mph I can still get 19-20 mpg. The added frontal area really adds some drag at higher speeds and kills a lot of bugs. I make a regular 3 hour...
  12. do these automatically idle up/accelerate in 4 low to climb over obstacles?

The automatics do in low range and bumping the shifter into manual shift. That works like creep cruise control and throttle is added automatically to maintain the set speed chosen with the shifter.
  13. Calibrating ACC

No, not having issues with ACC. Problem is I need to replace the windshield. As far as I've determined recalibration is not required with glass replacement. However the chain glass centers won't replace it unless I pay them $450 to drive my JT for 3 minutes to run the self calibration built...
  14. Calibrating ACC

Yes, this is about Active Cruise Control. I've seen a pic of the calibration screen but no explanation on how to get to it.
  15. Calibrating ACC

Does anyone know how to activate the ACC self calibration mode??
  16. Hardtop gutter mount crossbars

That is a different approach than I am thinking of. Did you see any positive effects with your spoiler? My RTT sits a bit higher from the roof line than yours. It probably makes more sense for me to utilize the two T slots along the bottom of the RTT. Just have to decide how close to the...
  17. Hardtop gutter mount crossbars

The Alucab RTT is mounted to the Alucab canopy topper on the bed. What I‘m working on now is a streamlined aluminum nosecone deflector to aero things best I can. I would prefer it separate from the RTT hence the inquiry about gutter mount crossbars. I may well end up making my own gutter clamps….
  18. Hardtop gutter mount crossbars

I do have a pair of vertical T slots under the RTT that could be utilized. I don't want to put any attachment holes in the shell of the RTT. Still in the brainstorming stage of this process.
  19. Hardtop gutter mount crossbars

nice crossbar but I need gutter mounts for the hardtop. I can work with the Mopar crossbar setup but would like something that sits closer to the roof. Thanks for the reply
  20. Hardtop gutter mount crossbars

What is out there for hardtop crossbars for the JT? Preferably aluminum with T slots. I want to build an aero dam to try and improve the flat plate of my RTT. After seeing the amount of bugs that accumulate I think a bit of aerodynamic improvement might gain a little mpg back.
