just finished a mostly interstate and highway (with stoplights) route i frequently drive. 3” lift, 37’s, 4.88’s, 3 occupants, 400lbs of cargo from northern MD to central VA. 203.7miles. Displayed MPG 19.7; hand calc was 20.6. 7th was frequently used on hills, but nothing i to 6th i can recall...
  2. How to get 20mpg+ on 37’s/ECU basics 5/5 up @ 60-70mph with V6 3.6L

Tuning makes the bigger of the improvements; but nothing is wasted. ?
  3. How to get 20mpg+ on 37’s/ECU basics 5/5 up @ 60-70mph with V6 3.6L

I daily mine. ??‍♂️ I dont do tuning anymore either. If it doesnt plug in and make the car drive more gooder-er, i aint messing with it anymore.
  4. How to get 20mpg+ on 37’s/ECU basics 5/5 up @ 60-70mph with V6 3.6L

A little. Break in made an impact on mine. Its the tuning. The stock ecu file is too lean to run our overdrive efficiently.
  5. How to get 20mpg+ on 37’s/ECU basics 5/5 up @ 60-70mph with V6 3.6L

Just looked at my receipt. 20.3 was my swag head math. Hand calc was actually 20.6.
  6. MOJAVE Edition Gladiator JT Club

    Made the front page! https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/lifted-the-mojave-2-2-5-w-suspension-parts-from-fabtech-clayton-off-road-rock-jock-rock-krawler-teraflex-aev.40624/
  7. Lifted the Mojave 3" w/ suspension parts from Fabtech, Clayton Off-Road, Rock Jock, Rock Krawler, Teraflex, AEV

Updating this: a load north of 300lb compressed the rear spring 1/2 and inch. They are considerably stiffer at the load rate and still Ride great and are still adequately damped.
  8. How to get 20mpg+ on 37’s/ECU basics 5/5 up @ 60-70mph with V6 3.6L

All the data is in the vids my man. Take your two index fingers, hook them through my rear belt loops, and follow me through life. I got you. ?
  9. How to get 20mpg+ on 37’s/ECU basics 5/5 up @ 60-70mph with V6 3.6L

Added 4.88 gears, a 3” lift, and a 400lb load. My last run under similar conditions was about 20.5-21 but with no lift no load and no gears. So it means the 4.88’s effectively carried cargo and the drag of a lift with sub 1mpg penalty from stock height/gears/no load. Thats a win
  10. How to get 20mpg+ on 37’s/ECU basics 5/5 up @ 60-70mph with V6 3.6L

Finished up normal route. 4.88 gears; lifted truck; 400lb cargo; moderate winds. Displayed ended at 19.7mpg; hand calc was 20.6. Still within my usual 5% deviation. It works, folks.
  11. Worth upgrading the lower front control arms with core 4x4 adjustables?

The amount of back rake that your front wheels have, and ACA’s accomplish that.
  12. Worth upgrading the lower front control arms with core 4x4 adjustables?

Few things will improve your drivability more than getting caster up above 6°
  13. Livernois Tuner. Anyone have one?

There are a few people who do on here. They have historically made excellent ECU files.
  14. How to get 20mpg+ on 37’s/ECU basics 5/5 up @ 60-70mph with V6 3.6L

I think the extra air drag from the lift impacted more than i would have thought. Weather conditions today arent for a perfect run; but Id guess its a 1.5-2mpg drop. Also currently have 400lb of cargo and in rolling hills.
  15. How to get 20mpg+ on 37’s/ECU basics 5/5 up @ 60-70mph with V6 3.6L

Sort of. Pedal delay and fuel trim dont correlate in that sense. Yes, trims are stored in the fueling table at throttle angles; but what we really want to do with a pedal corrector is stop the push nothing push nothing push more WOOMP go. We want push a little go a little. So if a small throttle...
  16. How to get 20mpg+ on 37’s/ECU basics 5/5 up @ 60-70mph with V6 3.6L

Way better than being an Instagram or onlyfans model!! Hahahaha
  17. I want a Mojave but...

This^. 100x over. And im a toyota homer. This current gen tacoma just absolutely blows. Toyota dealers dont haggle to begin with; and on Pro and sometimes trd offroad wont even budge off “market adjustments” its absurd.
  18. Towing with 4.88 gears.

I think 4.88 would be good to go.
  19. Towing with 4.88 gears.

Opinions vary wildly based on tire size. There are a couple people here towing campers with 37’s and 4.88’s that are happy with them. Talking at length with one of them was what ultimately had me go 4.88 over 5.13 with my 37’s.
  20. How to get 20mpg+ on 37’s/ECU basics 5/5 up @ 60-70mph with V6 3.6L

Agreed. Im on 37/4.88 and its fine for my purposes. It commutes great and I dont have issues even when loaded; but i was nervous about not getting 5.13. I really wanted to run 35’s but did 37’s, shamelessly, for the look. But there are alot of countries that wont allow a 37” tire, and if i had...
