With our clutches, we have two options for flywheels. Both are solid flywheels and use a conventional type 11" clutch with a torque capacity of 480ftlbs (if using street discs). No change in the hydraulics required. We also have a step by step install video. Here is a press release...
ACT offers great alternatives for the Gladiator JT and Wrangler JL and the cost is about the same as stock replacement.
I don't see a practical way to fix the stock design. It just needs to be replaced with something else. If you want to know why, I will be posting a full description and...
I wouldn't mind the sale, but what you are describing is an issue with the hydraulics, or operating system, not the internal clutch parts.
When there is no air in the lines and the system is working normal, as soon as you press your foot on the pedal the release bearing pushes against the...

Either the JP5-HDSS or JP6-HDSS would be great. Personally I like the heavier flywheel of the JP6 even in...
Good catch! With how soft the clutch pedal is on the new JT and JL, it doesn't take much to mess it up. We load tested a JL with only 20k miles on it and the return stroke only had 2lbs of force. It felt so light that it felt as though the pedal was sticking to the floor.
If you are looking for a great upgrade, consider the new clutch just released by ACT. If you have any questions, I would be glad to help. See the press release here...
