Worst case, you caught it early, so get a Centerforce clutch in there.
When my factory clutch dies, I'm definitely going aftermarket.
From what I've read so far Centerforce is the way to go

Good catch! With how soft the clutch pedal is on the new JT and JL, it doesn't take much to mess it up. We load tested a JL with only 20k miles on it and the return stroke only had 2lbs of force. It felt so light that it felt as though the pedal was sticking to the floor.

Problem resolved!
turns out the connection of the clutch pedal to the master cylinder plunger was not fully seated (clicks when fully seated).
I’ll attempt to add attachments.

The fix seems simple, slightly apply pressure on the clutch pedal to aline the clip on the plunger connection on the pedal lever and press the plunger arm till the pedal arm clicks in.

I realize that it was never fully seated from factory now. There is less pedal movement and the is no audible thunk sound when releasing the clutch quickly. In my defense I would have realized something was off if had ever driven or rode in another manual transmission Gladiator/JL.

This post saved me! Had the same exact problem in my ‘23, never test drove another one, assumed the clutch was supposed to be really high. It started getting stuck halfway and not returning. thankfully someone shared this post and sure enough, same thing! Clicked it in, whole new clutch feeling now. Thank goodness nothing serious happened while driving!

Good to hear it helped you out!

I wish they were right from factory, seems like a silly thing to get wrong.
