I have a ‘22 with a 6MT, my dealer finally got in the parts, aparrently there was a shortage of pressure plates. But I’ve never had a problem with the clutch, it works great and i just don’t see the urgency to get it done. I have an appointment scheduled for early June. But I’m wondering if i should cancel it and hold off till i get more miles on the truck. Who has had it done? And do you feel it was worth it?

I got mine done last week.
They actually found 2 sheared bolts in the pressure plate. Replaced multiple parts and it actually shifts cleaner now.

2021 JLUR 6MT with 8k miles. Currently no recall done. Haven't experienced any issues or problems with the clutch the Jeep came with. Due to the horror stories and lack of competent mechanics at local dealers to me I'll keep it the way it came and if I come across any issues I'll like just replace it with an aftermarket clutch such as centerfoce.

I had mine done a couple of months ago. The dealer apparently used a "clutch guy" who specializes in this job going from one dealership to the next. Shifting was a little grabby before. It's a bit smoother now, but not a big difference. I don't like the idea of the reprogrammed sensor; apparently the truck will go into limp mode if it's not happy with the clutch temperature. The old one would just throw an alarm that the clutch was hot, but you could tell from the smell anyway - no need for an alarm. Don't ask me how I know...

I'm at 9k since the recall completed. I've taken it on Moab and Ouray trails, and abused it during those trails and it's holding up perfectly, no lights, warnings, and I can even back up a hill without having to put it into 4wd low.

22 mojave 40k miles.
i think the original clutch assembly is great for daily driving and non-technical off-roading. I would have replaced it almost immediately were i a rock crawler.

I'm also concerned about the new limp mode parameters on the PCM which can cause issues driving on sand.

As such, probably not having the recall done for as long as I can get away with skipping it.

I did and it was a nightmare!! Ended up at a second dealer for a complete 2nd swap out of the whole clutch system. I didnt have one issue with the clutch prior to the recall work. It seems like since I had it done, NOTHING works like it did before the work.

Initially I never, ever had the hot clutch warning come up, but 2 days after I got her back, I did a few donuts in a snowy parking lot and there it is.. Hot clutch warning.

If its not broken, don't fix it..

This is just my personal experience, But I regret it every day

These are all the reasons i am probably going to cancel my appt and wait it out. It’s a safety recall so if i want to cash my chips in down the road the dealership is obligated to do so. Plus, the woman at the service desk told me they needed my truck for 3 days, minimum. That seems sketchy to me as the 4wd shops around me can do the same job in a day. I just have this feeling in my gut that something is gonna go wrong and get screwed up.
