If it makes you feel better I have almost the exact same story except I skipped the dealer. New rear diff needed at 75k on a 2021 max tow. $3k replacement at local shop.
I like my ducks! It makes me smile seeing one on my door handle and each one has a story for where/how we got it. My wife bought a 20 pack of ducks on Amazon and has been ducking other jeeps!
I'm the problem.
max tow is the best package if you are actually doing truck stuff. I love mine have a 2021 that I bought new and it has 68k miles on it now with litteral thousands of them being towing my travel trailer.
if I wanted to keep my job as new ceo Id make money. so id make what people are buying...
ev rubicon with a 4 cylinder and electric motor working together.
:(
however I'd also make a full sized jeep truck. probably only keeping the front doors as interchangeable with other jeeps, with a...
just a word of caution remove the fill plug before the cover. if the fill plug is stuck for some reason it's better to know when you can drive to get more tools vs when you need to fill up
just buy the jeep :)
if you're serious about performance the max tow is the best performing JT (4.10 gears, and roughly 200 lbs less unneeded bs than a rubicon, and lighter wheels than mojave or rubi)
I came from a taco and everytime I have the regret thoughts I know I enjoy my jeep more. and...
I went silicone hose and it looks cleaner than tape, if you don't know you wouldn't see it. I car wash at least monthly haven't re leaked. highly recommended.
Went to the beach! it is a blast seeing all the trucks lined up along rhe beach and just seeing everyone's build. Almost makes me look forward to 15 years from now when this thing will be fully deprecated and ready to really get best on :)
my local dealer has one listed with a vin tied to it...

since no one answered i think youll probably get about 18 mpg with a rubi. that number is a total guesstimate but where many people end up.
the aero on this car is so bad speed greatly impacts MPG so numbers are all over the place
new hampshire owner here, I swap for winter, but I have a insulated head liner which likely makes more of a difference than anything else. I had it on for our first snow storm and the fabric holds the wet snow a lot more than the hard top, it pushed right off the hard top and stuck to the sun...
I find mpg increases significantly once the transmission warms up. like my sport is about 19-21mpg unless I'm on the road for over an hour and the transmission is fully warmed up then it goes to 22-24mpg
just to make you feel better about buying the anti sway. When you are towing and pass or are passed by an 18 wheeler truck the wind creates a vacuum that will pull your trailer slightly towards the big truck. You'll get used to it quick, but that first time will be a serious wtf moment and the...
