  1. High pitched wind noise at 70 mph+ from windshield area

Problem solved - I think. The "expert" told me he removed the windshield and found 3 spots where the "primer" had separated. He said it was most likely caused by a lack of cleaning the area during the install. He reinstalled the glass and there was no noise on the way home. This guy was...
  2. High pitched wind noise at 70 mph+ from windshield area

Sorry for the delay. I taped off the windshield and it is somewhere on the passenger side. Called the insurance people and they put me in touch with the installer. They wanted a chance to repair the seal and said if that didn't fix it they would replace the windshield (promise #1). Last...
  3. High pitched wind noise at 70 mph+ from windshield area

Living out in the country and with construction on local interstate, I'll need to wait for a reason to do the test. I have to drive several miles before I'm on a 70MPH stretch. Local gas is $5.25, so don't want to waste it. I will locate the source before I contact anyone. Barry
  4. High pitched wind noise at 70 mph+ from windshield area

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll give these a try and get back to you. Barry
  5. High pitched wind noise at 70 mph+ from windshield area

2021 Sport stock, but had to have the windshield replaced last November. Have suddenly developed a high pitched, oscillating (and very annoying) sound at high speed coming from the windshield area. My grandson described it as Morse code. Only happens on the interstate. At first we (myself...
  6. So, what is everybody towing?

That is a Farm Jeep Truck doing farm things! Nice!
  7. So, what is everybody towing?

I just drove 7 hours round trip to pick up my new 1949 CJ3a Farm Jeep hauler. I started looking for a new trailer when I ordered the JT. I was going from an F150 towing towing a 2012 steel/wood floor trailer. Here is part of the noted I sent to the dealership today - I had purchased a new...
  8. Getting AMP Research PowerSteps installed what to d with takeoff mopar heavy duty rock rails w/ step

I did the build assuming that the "step" would work as an actual step. It doesn't. The sticker shows $1095 or something close. Anyway as title says I'm having the PowerSteps installed in a week. I haven't talked to the shop about "tradein value" but I don't know if they will offer anything...
  9. JEEP GLADIATOR BEDRUG GROUP BUY

I pulled the bedrails and spent a couple of hours trying to install over the Bedrug. I couldn't get it to work and ended up trimming. At the front, I cut the Bedrug and then reinstalled the railing. I have a 1/4" gap. On the sides, I reinstalled the the railings and then made the cuts. Much...
  10. Do you even wheel ?

I'm an old Jeep historian. I purchased the JT to haul my old Jeeps to shows. After 50 years of driving Jeeps I'm qualified to say that as long as you are having fun - if your are rock crawling, mall crawling, stuck in traffic or sitting in driveway or apartment parking lot - it really is a...
  11. Cost of AMP Research Powerstep install?

Thanks for the info. I've never worked with the local shop, but they seem willing to help in any way they can. The main problem at the moment is no one has steps to install.
  12. Cost of AMP Research Powerstep install?

Thanks, just trying to gauge what is reasonable. Looks like a lot of demand and maybe a shortage of steps. Barry
  13. Cost of AMP Research Powerstep install?

Shopping around for Powersteps. I know the prices are all about the same, but I think I want to have them installed. I am old (why my wife and I both need the steps) and I've read some of the install stories and watched a couple of videos. First shop I called (there are two shops listed as...
  14. Did you buy a Jeep that is a truck or a truck that is a Jeep?

My first priority was a truck that could pull my car hauler with my 1949 Willys Jeep CJ3a, I was replacing a Ford F150 that was too big for 99% of what I need to do. A mid-size truck was perfect. And a JEEP truck pulling a classic Willys Jeep was more perfecter... or whatever.
  15. Mopar hard tri fold tonneau cover leaking

Old thread but new JT owner. I only seem to be leaking on the passenger side, near the rear. I have a BedRug so hard to tell the source of the leak. Anyone have a follow up or suggestions for adjustments? These are pretty simple so don't know if there is a cure.
  16. Hide a step not fitting with stock rubi rails?

Sorry to jump in but just got my TJ and my wife who has one knee replaced and getting ready for a second is having issues getting in the Jeep. It is not lifted (Sport-S Max-Tow) with the factory "step rail" which doesn't have a step like my old F150. Will these bolt up or do I need to make...
  17. Want to join. old guy, old Jeeps hate buying new ones

I want to close out this thread with a huge thank you to the folks at Gupton and to the fine helpful folks on this forum. I took delivery just in time to tow my CJ3a to a show. You can read about it at https://www.farmjeep.com/2021/08/19/the-proper-tow-vehicle-for-a-farm-jeep/
  18. Back seat w/h measurement for dog hammock

Hammock is a perfect fit. Already saved the interior from a shower of "Teddy fur" (he is our almost white Lab) Would highly recommend.
  19. Anyone using a spill tray?

I've ordered a small "boot tray" for now and will post a picture when it arrives. I'll take a look at the cans. I use https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00SBZRKEU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to empty the 5 gallon cans I have.
  20. Anyone using a spill tray?

Just installed a Bedrug, but I haul a lot of fuel cans for mowers and tractors and would like some additional protection. I'd like to find a tray that will fit across the back. Maybe something like this -...
