  1. Clutch Recall (2/23/23): Clutch Pressure Plate May Overheat -- Affecting 70,000 Manual Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators

I called my local dealer and they told me it would take 7 hours at a min to do the clutch swap and they would need it for a couple of days. I also called Jeep and asked about the reimbursement portion for at least the labor. They stated that I would have to pay out of pocket and then submit the...
  2. Clutch Recall (2/23/23): Clutch Pressure Plate May Overheat -- Affecting 70,000 Manual Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators

Here here. This is crazy. I’m not asking them to buy a new clutch. they are going to drop the trans to remove the clutch anyways, all I’m asking for is the tech to use the box I provide vs the box that hasn’t been approved, designed or thought of yet by the Jeep engineers.
  3. Louisiana options?

My family will me moving to Louisiana (Ft. Polk area) from North Carolina in about a month. I am currently about 45 minutes from Uwharrie in NC and I was wondering what my options are out in Louisiana. Anyone have any ideas of where I can go and see out there? I know the ozarks aren’t too far...
  4. Clutch Recall (2/23/23): Clutch Pressure Plate May Overheat -- Affecting 70,000 Manual Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators

so I have been in Germany for work for the past 9 months. I just saw my wife over the weekend and got the recall letter from Jeep. I have already purchased the centerforce clutch and was planning on having it installed before this recall came out. I sent jeep an email asking if they would...
  5. Deal Alert!

Bam is a great company to deal with. I have purchased several things from them, including these rails (though I did pay more since I went straight through their site). If you need the sway bar end links or lower control arms from the mopar lift, you can get them from bam for cheap.
  6. Competition: First 2024 Tacoma Teaser drops

Have you ever talked to a Tacoma driver about their drum brakes? It really entertaining to see them try to justify how drums are “better off-road” because they aren’t as degraded during high water crossing and that they shed heat better than disc… they never bring up thefact that they are...
  7. Bilstein 5100

Oh I mentioned the coil over because on ifs trucks the 5100s are a pretty popular option (Nissan and toyota). Depending on your application, coil overs on Jeeps are a bit of an overkill. For me. A decent single use (no rebuild option and not expensive) is what fits my bill. Your mileage might vary.
  8. Bilstein 5100

I was going to go the the 5160s when I had my frontier. I was looking at the Bilstein 6112 coil over with tge 5160s. I thought it was a pretty package per price and capabilities. I actually talked my buddy into getting them for his Tacoma. He loves the setup. If you are a casual off-roader with...
  9. Bilstein 5100

I can add a bit to the “how do they offroad?” I have had the 5100s for over a year now and I have been offroad more in this setup than any other. I fInd the shocks to be very compliant in the slow rockier portions. Coming off of ledges or a rock it feels more planted and there is no head...
  10. Anyone Running Eibach Shocks or Springs?

I have the eibach spring. I paired them with the Bilstein 5100s, mopar lower control arms, synergy front track bar, mopar sway bar links, Metalcloak bumpstops, amd the teraflex rear track bar bracket(I think that’s what it’s called). I love the springs. They hold the weight well and flex well...
  11. Bilstein 5100

https://www.suspensionlifts.com/shop/jeep/gladiator-jt/bilstein-b8-5100-2-3-front-1-5-2-5-rear-shocks-w-stabilizer-for-2020-2021-jeep-gladiator/ This is the place I bought mine from. I was a bit nervous upon purchase, but they were super easy to deal with and shipping was stupid fast. They...
  12. Bilstein 5100

Such a missed opportunity for them. The jt seems like a perfect setup for what that brand is about, but I don’t know if the numbers are there for them.
  13. Bilstein 5100

I installed the 5100s when I put my lift together. They are better on road for sure. Less head bobbing and actually made long drives less fatiguing. Offroad I have enjoyed the controlled posture they have. I still get good flex out of the suspension with a more controlled response coming off a...
  14. New Mopar 2" inch lift coming out?

Has anyone reached out to arb about the old man emu suspension yet? I did a couple of years ago when I bought mine. Arb’s response was “in a couple of months.” This was in 2020. I went with a frankenlift with a mix of mopar eibach and Bilstein parts.
  15. Is it unwise for me to limit myself to load range C tires?

It seems most tire companies don’t make a lot load c tires in larger sizes. I’ve had e and c in the past. Other than the ability to maintain sidewall rigidity under load, load e road fine with an appropriate psi. ??‍♂️
  16. Deciding on rims in Germany. Help from the states appreciated :) Do you guys know AMERICAN RACING KMC KM539 PORTAL rims?

That is good news. It terrible that Germany makes people jump through hoops like this. The bureaucracy in Germany knows no bounds.
  17. Deciding on rims in Germany. Help from the states appreciated :) Do you guys know AMERICAN RACING KMC KM539 PORTAL rims?

That’s legit. The jimny is my favorite little suv. I think they a perfect. Shockingly expensive on the used market in Germany (at least outside of my used car budget, since I couldn’t ship my glad over for the year.)
  18. Deciding on rims in Germany. Help from the states appreciated :) Do you guys know AMERICAN RACING KMC KM539 PORTAL rims?

The Aev salta xr are over the required load rating, not much but still 2400lbs. https://www.aev-conversions.com/product/salta-xr/ I am super biased towards the Aev but I also love the evos to an unhealthy level too. They make the truck look way more deliberate and people in the know give a tip...
