  1. Stellantis laying off engineers, programmers

I've been saying this for awhile now. The people that are adamant about being able to work from home are basically begging to have their job outsourced, for the reason you just stated. If it can be done remotely, then there's a good chance it can be done very remotely. Careful what you wish for.
  2. Clutch Recall (2/23/23): Clutch Pressure Plate May Overheat -- Affecting 70,000 Manual Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators

Was unaware McLeod was now making some products for the JT. Interested to know if there is any utility in their $350 throw out bearing over the factory plastic jobby. Anyone have any experience? @ACTman , what say you?
  3. Diode Dynamics SS3 pro vs max

@Diode Dynamics Any updates on the Max Lazer series that were presented at SEMA '22? The news seems to have disappeared since then.
  4. Balancing Beads, weird problem!

I have them in my 35s. Not exactly sure why I went with them; sounded like a good idea at the time. I did zero research before pulling the trigger. My fault. That being said, they work just fine 99% of the time. When they become a pain in the butt is during a rolling stop, like if I coast...
  5. Clutch Recall (2/23/23): Clutch Pressure Plate May Overheat -- Affecting 70,000 Manual Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators

I don't think that's the main culprit. @ACTman did some testing on the stocker and I want to say it is only capable of holding something like 10ftlb more torque than the engine produces. Not a whole lot of wiggle room for error, IIRC.
  6. Need help, 2023 Mojave 6m/t 37s service transmission and clutch overheating

I don't believe the 6MT has a temp sensor. My assumption is that the confuser tries to calculate slippage via shaft speeds vs gear selected and wheel speeds, which obviously your 37s will affect. If you haven't already, I'd take an actual measurement of your tire diameter and input that into...
  7. Asked Chat GPT about re-gearing with 37s to end all debate...

Yup. I'm also not sure why everyone is so quick to want to call it AI. It's not. It's meta analysis using an algorithm; which is programmed to operate with a clear bias by highly biased humans. As the next guy said, Garbage In, Garbage Out.
  8. 2024 Gladiator Build & Price Configurator is Finally Live!

Same. I had intentions of eventually trading my '21 6MT sarge green JTR for an identical one with a diesel, but, no diesel and these prices are ridiculous. No thanks. I'll be keeping mine as I love it anyway.
  9. ⚡️ 2024 Jeep Recon EV Revealed! [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS]

100% of Jeeps in Europe will be BEV by 2030? Good luck with that.
  10. Spicer gears on backorder

I believe Dana builds in batches, so it is somewhat normal for them to be OOS for a LONG time. I didn't backorder my dana 5.13s last year from NR4x4 when they were OOS, but I did use the, "Email me when available" feature. It was months before they restocked and I was even checking frequently...
  11. For those that DON'T like "ducking"

For a moment, I thought some stranger opened your door and placed it on the dash, which would enrage me. But after finishing your story, I'm better.
  12. I Love Winter... Post Your Snow Pics ❄️ ?

Central Ohio drives me nuts. We never get a decent snow anymore. It goes above us, and below us.
  13. Clutch Recall (2/23/23): Clutch Pressure Plate May Overheat -- Affecting 70,000 Manual Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators

Let me know how Babbit does. That's who I was going to use as well. Shame they don't do clutches. ?
  14. Clutch Recall (2/23/23): Clutch Pressure Plate May Overheat -- Affecting 70,000 Manual Jeep Wranglers and Gladiators

I've got 5.13s and an ACT clutch sitting in the garage waiting to go in. Probably going to do it around early Spring.
  15. Trail Recon got a new Gladiator

Nailed it. It just seems fake. I had to tell YT to quit recommending his videos because every time I'd see a thumbnail of him, I couldn't help but think of that stupid thing he constantly does (usually while talking about coffee for the 600th time) wherein he talks about how much he enjoys...
  16. Trail Recon got a new Gladiator

His goals are never-ending YT content. If he wants to keep his channel going, he almost has to put out continuously new projects. He seems like a genuinely nice guy, but there's something about him that I just can't watch. Regardless, I'm all for JT projects and I'll await the results. I'm...
