I have just over 9k. Stock 3.73 gears Fat bobs budget boost with 37x13.50 nitto exograpplers. I did have a DEF system problem but it seems the dealer was able to get it fixed. I have logged over 2k miles pulling several different trailers/boats.
Overall the ecodiesel is hands down the most...
Not trying to argue but.........I Doubt you actually get it fully done for 6k, factory warranty toast, you have to run more expensive premium fuel and will get horrendous gas mileage, and I still doubt you actually out perform a stock diesel.
First, im not complaining, even though I'm sure that's how it will sound
I'm baffled as to how you guys are getting in the mid to upper 20 mpgs. Do you guys roll down hill with a tailwind or tailgate vehicles to break the wind or what?
I now have 7k miles total and I just did a little over...
It's not just DEF freezing though it seems that is the bulk of the problems. Some have had bad pumps and/or injector.
Either way it seems like running one in warmer weather would increase the odds of avoiding a def system problem.
Haven't heard if 2022 will bring any changes for the ecodiesel.
even Though there are several with problems here I think we are a pretty small percentage of the whole. Also, I think the vast majority of us have gotten the problems resolved. The reality is there are too many ecodiesel and other diesel motors that use DEF to think it won't function...
Legal or not I think its pretty damn shady they wouldn't have disclosed it. At the very least you would have known immediately when it acted up that it wasn't just some random or fluke thing.
Good luck with it. I hope they get it fixed or get you a new one under lemon law rule or something
I'm the one that started the other thread. they replaced tank and both heaters on mine and I have not had any problems since.....knock on wood. Got my first oil change today just shy of 6k miles (computer still showed approx 40% oil life remaining, though I'm leaving next week for...
Or you could go diesel, leave everything stock, and not sacrifice anything....., fuel mileage or power/performance. Sorry, couldn't help myself.
I had a gasser (manual 6spd) totally different I know. But with 37x13.50 nittos. It definitely needed 5.13's. just have to get used to your engine...
Check your fuses and relays.
If they are all seated well, I really don't know what to tell you at this point. I don't think I've heard of anybody that had it completely shut off on them.....especially if you weren't given the "mile count down" warning.. Suppose it could have been a software...
It sounds to me like you being more than fair. The gift is far more than most would even consider doing let alone actually following through with.
Travis sounds like a pretty stand up guy......good for him and I'm sure he'll appreciate your token of appreciation, but still be disappointed he...
