Because Jeep knows we are suckers for their product.
Before I bought my JT for $42k I was seriously considering a 2019 Ram Big Horn for the same price. I just couldn’t pass up having another Jeep in my driveway, although for practicality sake, the Ram would have made much more sense. I’m a...
Let me get a Hemi with Max Tow...
Or a Sport S with Mojave suspension and drivetrain.
Or a Hemi in a Mojave without all the leather seat creature comfort stuff.
Or a base Sport with Rubicon suspension.
Right? It’s annoying as heck.
I went to the dealer on Friday to get my oil changed and tires rotated. While I was walking around I looked in the beds of a few other JTs on the lot and it seems like most of them have the little holes. Also noting that most Sports and Overland models seem to have...
Swapped in some LED headlight bulbs. It’s a temporary solution for now and will eventually swap to full LED light and housing, but it was driving me crazy having halogen headlights with LED fogs that came with my recently acquired Mopar steel bumper.
I never enjoyed rock crawling in my TJ with an Nv3550; especially not having lockers. It was always stressful having to drive with three feet plus an extra foot to keep from rolling backwards, stalling on rocks, etc. Don’t get me wrong, I wheeled the piss out of my TJ, but always enjoyed...
That doesn’t seem likely, the hole is a few cm in diameter at best. Plus, I’d think if it were a drain hole it’d probably have a matching hole in the same exact spot on the other side of the bed.
Interesting. The small hole through the bed isn’t a big deal now, but I’m concerned about long term here after sand, snow, mud, etc. if it’s an unfinished surface with a hole in it, then it may be problematic (in an absolute worst case scenario). I was more curious if anyone else had the hole...
I haven’t noticed this until today at work and snapped a quick picture. Luckily I am taking it in for my third free oil change/rotation tomorrow so I’m gonna make them look at this too. This is the passenger side of the bed toward the tail gate, drivers side in the same spot had dirt stuck in it...
5.7 Hemi- 375HP/410LBFT
392 - 485HP/475LBFT
6.2 HellCat - 717HP/656LBFT
6.2 HellCat RedEye - 797HP/707LBFT
Those are the numbers from Dodge on their website, in the most convenient place to find the numbers - the Dodge Challenger builder.
Dudes throwing a HellCat engine in their Jeep on...
The JT itself is an anomaly. They are definitely not for everyone - not even for every Jeep fan. 2-door Jeeps are not the thing anymore - for a pretty reasonable extra cost you get a ton more storage space protected from the elements.
Yeah, that’s not that much of a price increase, considering...
I get that, that’s why I think the 392 idea is ridiculous, practically speaking. There are only a few people who can afford to buy something like that. But if I were given the option to buy a Sport S with Max Tow and a 5.7 Hemi V8 when I bought mine, for a standard factory engine upgrade price -...
I’m hoping they gauge the response to the 392 release and realize that a TON of buyers would be lining up for a V8 option in the JL/JT platform. Not even a 392. If a 5.7 would have been offered when I purchased mine I would have opted for it with no questions asked. Hopefully they get enough...
I’m in the same boat, building up my TJ and enjoying the luxury and towing capability of my JT Sport S. I’ve only leveled my JT to put 35s on it and it’s a blast to drive on and off road.
I’m leasing and will probably look into upgrading to a Mojave when the lease is up. But who knows.
I’m still actively researching which winch I want. No rush on it because the JT is more of my daily driver than it is a trail rig, that’s what the TJ is for.
Upgraded front bumper on my Jeep and need to get rid of this. Bumper cover, frame, skid plate, skid mount, fog lights, tow hooks, and end covers (air dam) included. Most hardware (clips and screws) is present, but you will need the 8 nuts to secure to frame rails. End covers have been trimmed to...
