Thanks for the link! That is certainly the most cost effective way to deal with the problem if replacement ends up being necessary.
Interestingly, I read on the wrangler forums that guys are using screen protectors on these things. I figured it can't hurt. As per Mopar's instructions I used...
I get what you are saying. If that’s the case then most likely the radio is on the outs.
Yeah it’s weird. Had the Jeep since October 2019 and the radio has been flawless. I’ve even left it outdoors topless and doorless overnight a few times and even with some morning dew it’s always been fine...
So back at the end of July I became a "real Jeeper." Yup, that's right, I got caught in the rain with my top down. The 8.4" screen barely got wet as I was able to pull over and pull my soft top back into place within a minute or 2. Predictably, the touchscreen became useless for the rest of that...
I can’t speak to the Mopar lift because my truck doesn’t have one, but my understanding is that Mopar lift springs are stiffer than stock springs. I also understand the shocks are valved pretty soft. What I think you are experiencing is shocks that aren’t stiff enough to control the springs.
I...
That’s a trim piece for the passenger side rear seat back latch release/locking mechanism. The loop you pull to fold down the rear passenger seat back goes through the slot and the lock cylinder fits in the round cutout.
For sale is a Borla S-Type exhaust with dual driver side exit black tips. Also included is a brand new, never used high clearance turndown tip (replaces black side exit tips). The exhaust is in great shape and only has a couple thousand miles on it. Selling because I decided to stick with an AWE...
Oh she’s loud for sure but it’s more refined than when the AWE system was brand spanking new. Maybe I’ve just gotten used to it but it seems like it’s gotten a little easier to “tiptoe” and keep it quiet when necessary. Gotta love the way it sings when the driving gets spirited, though.
As you can tell by my numerous previous posts in this thread, I was a bit unsure when I first bolted up the AWE. I'm glad I stuck with it as it really does sound great. Cold starts and cruising are much tamer, now, after around 4k miles. I also think that loudness at 3k RPM has eased a bit, too...
So I’ve gone back and forth between the AWE and the Borla S-Type a few times. The AWE has somewhere around 2.5-3k miles on it. The S-type has been on the truck for the last couple months and has probable about the same mileage on it. Yesterday I swapped back to the AWE and that’s the one that’s...
Be careful making light show a hot key. I recently stopped for gas and got back on the highway and, like a dope, forgot the cruise turns off with a power cycle of the truck. Hit ”set“ and light show going on the interstate. I always have my DIC set to audio, as I like to see what I am listening...
The AWE doesn't drone. It is loud though. Obviously, it's at the threshold of what I can tolerate. I also have a career that requires me to be up early, and I regularly leave my house before 5:00am. The neighbors haven't complained but I am fairly self-conscious about that.
The S-type has more...
Can anyone comment on the sound differences, if any, between dual tread and single tread versions of this exhaust? I have the single tread and swapped it out for a Borla S-type, simply because I felt the AWE was just too loud. I much prefer the tone of the AWE over the Borla and I wonder if dual...
Stop replacing the stock junk with more stock junk. I’m not sure why but Jeep uses trash batteries. My Gladiator batteries were poop and my wife’s 2019 Cherokee batteries were both bad, too. I replaced my main with an Oddessy and the aux with a better one from Napa and all has been well for a...
IF the red light on the fob is coming on when you press buttons then the fob is not the problem. The main and aux batteries in your truck are probably bad or going bad. The electronics and computers in modern vehicles are sensitive to voltage fluctuations and may not work correctly if voltage is...
I will also say that OBX has become my favorite vacation spot. It has such a chill vibe. And if you’re into Jeeps it’s like heaven on Earth. The number of awesome Jeeps out there is insane.
