Whatever the Gladiator “edition” when we buy it we all end up making them our own special edition. And it’s a lot of fun doing it.

Pic here is 2.5 inch sky jacker spacer vs a 3.5 inch MetalCloak - both on 35x12.5x17 tires. When I considered 3.5 inch lift I had to think about drive shaft changes too. Yes I noticed a difference. Mostly in ride quality being better. I now run 37x12.5x18 tires.

Man - I'm sorry - that stinks. Happens more on rainy days makes me think it's somewhere in wiring/connections and maybe not the unit itself. Wish I had more to give you than just wishing good luck on getting it figured out and resolved.

I never recommended lying when submitting your dispute. You need to add a lot of assumptions on your own to jump towards accusing someone of fraud.

You might check to see what the lift manufacturer recommends. For example, MetalCloak recommends '4.5" of backspacing or less..." if you do the outboard front lower shock mount in your lift.

It has worked me for me 100% of the time I've used this method to resolve an issue. Takes about 10 minutes to file and submit online.

If the rental company doesn't take it tell them to pound sand, and if they charge you anything for it - file a dispute with your credit card company. You credit card provider will take it from there and make it go away. That merchant agreement is and no bull crap to deal with is more important...

3.5 inch lift is going to add a decent amount of height over the leveling kit you currently have. If you aren't running at least 35 inch tires currently you're probably going to need to replace tires - and even if you have 35's, you may see it with a 3.5 inch lift and want to go with 37's...
