Happy camping. Setup looks nice. As you may be able to see from my picture, I go the other way. 30' MH pulling the Willys. The Willys is just a few pounds under the max weights, so not many toys in the Jeep while being towed. A Rubi would be too heavy.
One reason I don't use the Uconnect mapping/GPS or any native car system's is the aggravation of updates, and the need to learn multiple systems. Jeep, Mini Cooper, RV, et al have different systems. Apple Maps via iPhone or Car Play provides consistency and free updates. Or, a portable Garmin...
Like the OP I hated the Bridgestone M/Tās that came on my ā21 Willys (used). Probably good tires for off road use. Mostly a daily driver or towed behind MH. Swapped them at 15k miles for Dueller H/Tās. Much nicer ride and IMO look good. May not receive many ducks but oāwell.
Congrats, hope you are pleased with it. I love my '21 Willys I bought used last June with only around 10k miles. I sure hope I don't see you on the "Buyers Remorse" thread.;)
There is a relatively long list of things that will prevent the ESS to activate:
ļ¬ Driverās seat belt is not buckled
ļ¬ Driverās door is not closed
ļ¬ Battery temperature is too warm or cold
ļ¬ Battery charge is low
ļ¬ The vehicle is on a steep grade
ļ¬ Cabin heating or cooling is in process and an...
Sure is nice to have a battery thread where most comments are positive. I have a low miles '21 I bought used in June '23. Daily driver, stock except a device to allow full time ESS disable. Looking to get a few more years out of original batteries.
I'm in the same camp as the OP. My main objection is I was never told what was going to be collected, and what they would do about it. I bought my JT second hand from CarMax and told the sales person NO on anything to do with Sirius XM. They did their part. When I took the Jeep in for service...
I think part of the issue is warranty work reimbursement rates are low, too few technicians available to do the work, and the mindset their customers come first, retail customers (non warranty work) come second and non sales customer warranty work comes last.
This is a real issue in the RV...
Letās see⦠hot, humid, wet, pollen, leaves, pine straw, dirt, bugs, birds, squirrels, no garage, noise, safety.
I will remove freedom panels from time to time weather permitting, never had the urge to remove doors. I had a 2dr Wrangler soft top with half doors. It provided all the road...
Read a story today where Toronto police are advising homeowners to place their car keys close to the door to prevent violence when someone breaks into your house to get the keys to steal your car. Said home break-ins have increased 400% solely related to stealing cars.
Is your Jeep radio current on updates? Have you tried using BT to connect the phone to the radio as a media but with CarPlay. What year Jeep, size radio?
I have an 8.4, using a BT dongle to connect my iPhone for CarPlay to the radio head. Sometimes it works good, sometime not so much. need to...
You may already know this but itās a common practice to weigh your JT and your trailer to get actual numbers. Load both as you would when towing. Full fuel, people, bed loaded with gear. Same for the trailer. Onboard water, food, clothes, dishes, etc. Have fun
