FCA wants to buy back the vehicle. Can someone who has gone through this process tell me if they will replace or do I have to go through the state to make things right?
As of this moment, my truck has had both PCM updates, engine torn down to access timing chain, found low compression on 2,4,6. It was then put back together for the second PCM UPDATE.
Now the STAR team asked the dealership to tear down the engine again to see how stiff the lifters are. My...
I knowledge of internal combustion engines is not great. Do you think software can fix what we are experiencing or do you think there was an issue with manufacturing?
Nuts, bolts, valves, and bearings I have agreat grasp of. This is out if my league of understanding.
I am so beside myself right now. After looking at the timing and determining it was not the problem, my dealer did the compression test. As stated in my earlier post, the 2,4,6 bank was more than 10% less that the 1,3,5. Yesterday the service manager said he would push for a new engine.
Today I...
I had my compression test done today.
1,3,5 were all at 150 psig
2,4,6 were all at 130 psig
Service manager is pushing for a new engine but we will be beyond 30 days when that is done. I am going to demand a replacement vehicle. The misfires on the 2z4,6 on cold start were too numerous to count...
This post had all the info you are asking for.
I understand you started this thread and the information being requested has evolved, but I agree with @speedracer0481, all the information is relevant and helping us with what to ask our dealer to check for and do as it pertains to our vehicles...
I am on try #3 officially for my P-0300 nightmare. Will hit the 30 calendar days before try #4 since they have my engine currently torn apart. 34 days of ownership, 18 of them in the shop!
By the way,
Jeep Cares will do nothing for you while your vehicle is in the shop on an "active case" if your vehicle does not qualify for your state's lemon law yet.
Once it comes out of the shop, they will negotiate items for your "inconvenience".
I am more than inconvenienced when the shop...
Mine is at the dealership. Day 32 of ownership and it has been there for 18 of those days. If it is not back in my driveway by labor day, I will start the lemon law process here in Washington State.
I think at this point we all need to file complaints with the NHTSA. I just filed mine this morning. We also need some attention on this issue with a media influencer or consumer reporter.
From what I gather at the other forum, the ASS unavailable triggers when your truck detects a misfire and you get a pending code. On the next start-up, if it you get another misfire, the CEL will activate. I have also had the ASS work with the CEL active once restarted hot.
Please go to the...
