On all our Gladiators and JL Wranglers, including my current 2024 JT, I have been able to program the display to show the current gear in "auto" mode. Just cycle through the display menu until you find it.
eTrailer.com has TPM systems for trailers. They are typically the ones that replace the valve cap. Easy install and set up. Whenever I take a longer trip, I always take an extra trailer spare. I once got 2 trailer flats in a remote area, and was glad I had that extra spare. Your anxiety...
Trying to figure out how to mount a light on the rear of the cab (hard top) to better light the box. The lights inside the rear of the box are mostly useless, and they only stay on for a very short time. I don’t want to hack up the rear of the roof. I have a tonneau cover, so a bed-mounted...
If you’ve never been, check out Jeep Beach in Daytona the end of April. Maybe not your thing for a whole week, but the Speedway is packed with vendors and some cool old and rare Jeeps. There is also a car show, and of course you can drive on the beach. Great Jeep parade on the beach the last...
Saw this a couple years ago. Hard cover rolls up. Side rails for mounting cross bars if desired. Expensive compared to a fold-up, but a clean look. https://realtruck.com/p/roll-n-lock-m-series-xt/v/jeep/gladiator/2024/
I had the same issue with my 90 yo dad and my GC Trailhawk. Even at the “parked” height, he had difficulty. I made a simple wooden step that I carried around. Problem solved, cheap. I’ll be interested to see what solutions other people have come up with.
I was planning on checking that. Thanks for doing my homework for me. I know my 24 Willys has them, and my previous Sport S had them either optional or part of a package.
From the owner’s manual: . You have the ability to configure the functionality of the auxiliary switches via the Uconnect Settings.
All switches can be configured as follows:
Switch type operation: Latching or Momentary
Power source: Battery or Ignition
Ability to hold last state across key...
Shadowspapa knows his stuff. Sounds like maybe the dealer rep might not. I have towed with and without a WDH, with and without mechanical (friction) sway control. 1,000 to 6,000 lbs. I have the same Tekonsha brake controller. Never had a problem like yours on JK, JL, several JTs and GCs, no...
If you have the aux switch bank, there are two 40a circuits under the hood, and same in the passenger compartment. I used the 40a underhood, and ran my wires in somewhat flexible plastic conduit and flex wire wrap to the rear for my DC-DC charger. I found conduit fed up above the rock rail or...
According to this article, Indiana’s gas tax is $0.535/gal. $221 in taxes would be covered by 413 gallons. If you’re driving the EV equivalent of a 40 mpg sub compact, that’s around 16k miles/yr in gasoline taxes you are avoiding. I couldn’t find anything on IN registration taxes on PHEVs or...
2024 JT Willys 3.6L, AT, stock tires, 0W-20. Just finished a 5,000 mile trip mostly in the Colorado rockies towing my 3,000 lb camper. Up long grades at 65-70 mph, 3rd and 4th gear, up to 5k rpm, I occasionally saw 250 oil temp. Most of the time, between 210 and 230. Oil life started with...
What about a roof rack cross bar that clamps to the rain gutter. You could attach some hand grips as required. I have a phobia about drilling holes anywhere water could get in, even if remotely possible. I use a small folding step stool, because I feel more stable.
I ran my wires (fused positive) from the battery down behind the rt frt fender liner in flex wire wrap where it was exposed. Then into a solid plastic conduit tucked above the rock-rail brackets. Then up over inside the ft rear fender liner, again protected where it is exposed. From there, to...
