i don’t see why they wouldn’t. I installed an Eaton in my sport and it was same part number as a rubicon. They are both m220 axles with 32 spline shafts.
I prefer the narrow look myself. If you are buying new good luck as there is a stop sale on the diesels. My guess is the leftovers will not be sold and taken back by Jeep. There is no diesels in the line up for 2024.
I bought the base sport for my JL and turned it to a full blown rock crawler. When I bought my JT I went with the sport S as it is a pain not having auto locks.
Sounds pretty typical of used car values pre covid. I suspect you will see the value increase again as this strike currently going on is going to cause used prices to increase again next year.
I don’t recall the sound being there on my JL, my gladiator only has 1400 miles on it. I cannot hear this unless I pop the hood cannot hear it from outside the fender or in the cab and it does not get louder when revved, in fact, it goes away when revved, also doesn’t show up until the engine is...
this gives me hope in some weird way lol. My shop is putting a new set if gears in two weeks from now. If I still have the issue I will attempt a driveline balance, then after that I may have him install an aftermarket.
My guess is a bad gear set. Will be talking to the shop today to make arrangements to take it back in. Yes I ran it in "front wheel drive" for this test, rear shaft completely removed. I did check and make sure all the factory weights were still there. I doubt the shop would have dropped the...
i could see that if this Jeep wasn’t brand new? 800 miles never even been on a dirt road yet.
I’ve had the Jeep up to 90 prior to the gears and it never had vibration. Can’t imagine it’s the driveshaft at 52mph.
after reading up on it this weekend I suspect a bad gear set or something is off...
My JL was definitely the transmission. I re geared my stock sport axles, then bought Rubicon take offs, then re geared those. The whine was always there with both sets of axles and gears.
For anyone now or in the future I will keep this going until resolved.
I took the rear drive shaft and went for a drive. No more vibration. One thing I noticed was the rear drive shaft was a beast to remove. Very difficult to get it to separate from the pinion. I attached a ratchet strap then...
