Yeah without a lower deck, how is this better than setting something on the seat? It’s solving a problem that isn’t a problem and costing 10x too much to do so.
I have the 3.5” coil lift with vertex shocks. I’ve been very satisfied so far. I wouldn’t get entry level shocks from them. Or control arms. But the coil springs, Vertex shocks and front track bar are good to go.
If you’re looking to get bigger tires, some spacers will get you the lift and wheel spacers or new wheels will get the width. For the price of quality spacers, you can get Tactik 5 Spoke steel wheels. They push the tires out, but not too much. And unlike the spacers, they make your wheels 9”...
The N-Fab RKR is another that I've looked at that has some pluses and minuses. On one hand, it's got low-hanging, removeable drop steps so even very short people and kids can get in without any trouble. Plus you can just take them off when you go off road. However, I've heard mixed reviews about...
I'm just running the OEM rails, but I like these from Quadratec. I'm sure they're not the stoutest of the stout, but I'm not one to go looking for trouble so I expect they'd work fine for me. Plus they're high and tight, and they hide the pinch seam.
My biggest concern with Smittybilt would be the finish, but that's something that can be addressed down the road if it's an issue. As for this particular setup, it seems kind of chunky for my taste, but I bet it gets the job done.
I’d also add a battery pack and handheld radios to the list. Doesn’t even need to be a big battery pack if you’re near your vehicle, but something to charge small devices (phones, Bluetooth speaker, radios) is handy.
I use large totes and pack things into “cubes” depending on function…
Cook cube
Camp cube
Sleep cube
Etc…
It’s easy to go overboard on storage solutions, but i use cheap totes since I’ve got a tonneau cover.
It’s difficult for me to take a retailer seriously if they don’t even have their own domain. And not a single picture of the open roll? And it seems expensive for what it is - especially without details regarding quality. The concept is reasonable, but the execution leave me a lot to be desired.
I’ve never owned either, but I think both Duratracs and Baja Boss ATs are pretty aggressive for an AT and have 3PMS ratings. The Duratrac sidewall is tame, but the tread is aggressive. The Baja Boss AT talks the talk and walks the walk.
As for me, I live in Texas and might get 2-3 snow days per...
Yeah, that link has the only information I’m aware of. There are several media reviews, and they were all impressed , but there are no real specifics.
It looks like Toyo is releasing a new tire next month called Open Country R/T Trail which will slot in between the current A/TIII and the R/T. Rather than a happy medium, it appears to be the best of both (minus 3PMS rating).
It should release next month and it looks to be exactly what I’m...
