  1. New Willys JT and no engine cover

This is essentially what the Jeep service technician/mechanic told me. The new engine bay contents are designed to withstand pressure washing, just not where the nozzle is close to connections/wiring. I believe the user manual addresses cleaning the engine bay also
  2. Winch or lift?

I sometimes regret the winch bumper and probably 100lbs of tire and wheel at each corner. Then I see people get stuck during snow or on the trails
  3. Winch or lift?

Mine dropped about the same or 1" with Max Tow. Mopar bumper and Smittybilt X20 with synthetic line. When it had a steel cable the drop was more noticeable

  5. Winch Interrupter

Thank you. So a Warn kit would work?
  6. Winch Interrupter

Hmm I would think winch companies would include such an item with their products
  7. Winch Interrupter

I have seen winches directly to the battery. Should they be using an interupter? Why?
  8. Flatbed Gladiators, show and tell.

This guy had it done to his, though I think he ultimately did so to add a camper.
  9. Weight FYI

Yes and they shouldnt in most circumstances
  10. Weight FYI

I cited it in one of my early threads. It is in the manual and in one of Jeep's spec sheets. Will try to find it ETA: found it. But may no lomger be official and Jeep may have removed it?
  11. Weight FYI

As the payload threads have shown, several folks have put 2000lbs in their truck beds. Consequences unknown
  12. Weight FYI

Happy with my 1550lbs payload on a Max Tow. I sit at about 6000lbs with family and gear when I hit the scales prior to going offroading. But, my tires are about 40lbs heavier than stock ones (80lbs vs 42lbs) so take off 200lbs. I could probably shave another 200lbs with a better bed mat, a few...
  13. Jeep patents Gladiator tonneau cover that can fit / carry all the hardtop panels

So you need to disassemble the rear part of the hard top? The patent application number is US17/124821. They are claiming an entire vehicle body so far, early stages of the process. Don't see Jeep mentioned anywhere in the filing paperwork except for the patent attorney being associated with...
  14. Factory Service Manual Review

So first, the software uses flash. When you explore the drive it actually shows very little data on it, despite having tens of thousands of pages, with cross-links and several videos of instruction on it. I value intellectual property very much. I am able to have printed versions of the files...
  15. Factory Service Manual Review

I thought I had covered it in a previous post, but in case I did not: the print to PDF option is not available when you open up the software.
  16. 1st baby right around the corner. Is there anything I can do to make my Gladiator safer?

I was in the same boat when I got my JT. Kid was due in a couple weeks. I made sure the rear baby-seat side door couldn't open unless from outside as I could forget to do it later when kid hit toddler stage. I added a winch and mud terrains after Jeep got stuck on a road covered in mud and I...

  18. Kentucky 21 Hydro Blue Gladiator Rubicon $58,000

  19. Lady ran a red light

    Btw what state?
  20. Lady ran a red light

For KY repair exceeds seventy-five percent (75%) of the retail value of the vehicle, as set forth in a current edition of the National Automobile Dealer's Association price guide (excluding cost to re-install airbags, and excluding hail damage). That is the summary from the statute on getting...
