I am going to Overland Expo next month. Everything will be there. Would like a solid aluminum with winch ability for future.
Check out the Evo stuff, you'll find what you're describing. Pricey but nice and light! I had ordered their Alumilite stubby, but cancelled because I found an ARB in stock and really didn't want to wait.

As for the factory steel bumper it is nice looking for sure, if the cost was the same as the ARB I would have considered it but it was nearly double!

thanks for your opinions guys! it sounds like it is indeed trail rated maybe not rock crawler rated. exactly what i need. i also like the clean looks vs many of the tank inspired bumpers. i do like the tank bumpers on wranglers with a sturdy tire carrier!

On my other jeeps, I've used an ARB Bullbar, but on the JT, I thought the Mopar steel bumper looked the best.

IMO most of the other aftermarket bumpers just don't look right, they stick out oddly or fit the lines poorly.

I'm a big fan of the OE 3 piece steel bumper. Both of our jeeps have OEM steel bumpers in front and rear. I can vouch for the rear. I backed into a concrete ballast. Only superficial damage, easily covered with touchup paint. That was my stupid mistake. But it's tough. I've never hit anything with the front, but I'm sure it's as tough as the rear.

Mine arrived yesterday and installed this morning along with the skid plate. Here is a before and a couple of after pics. I like it. Cleaner and looks like it belongs there. Starting to research winches now for the future.
I'm starting to realize that working on the ground is a lot harder than it used to be for my old self.

On past Jeeps , I’ve had ARBs and Shrockworks.

On the JT I have the oem steel. I like it a lot. Looks good, fits the winch and winch plate like a glove.

Factory LED fogs in it are actually functional!
