Glad to report that I solved my drone. The factory clamp that is on the end of the y-pipe where the aftermarket exhaust attaches was a little loose. It wasn't obvious but after tightening it a bit it solved the issue. I guess it was just loose enough that under load it leaked and being right...
I agree about the too attentive part. It really isn't bad and may very well be normal. The funny thing is I had my wife in the truck and she said nothing so it may just be me...LOL. But in her favor I have to add she drives a Hemi Grand Cherokee with a Corsa exhaust on it.
Okay, heard back from MBRP. There is no resonator option or different muffler. They said for me to try flipping the muffler around.
Any of you guys pay attention to the way yours installed? If I recall right it said for the louver openings to face forward. Anyone do anything differently? Sound...
Yes it is the Stainless Steel "PRO" model. I love the kit. It is just at those cruising RPMs I get an elevated drone in the cab. If I back off the throttle it goes away but generally...your on the gas because you need to be. Best way to eliminate is to give it more gas and have it downshift...
I have the MBRP stainless high clearance exhaust. Nice kit, perfect fit, sounds really good. Have about 750 miles on it. My only complaint is that it does drone a bit. You hear it at the 2200-2600 RPM range when cruising. Not unbearable but noticeable. Anyone else with the MBRP exhaust have this...
Agreed...not sure either why they are spaced apart. You mentioned that the 2nd muffler is not tight to the body. Any way of rotating it? Have you reached out to the manufacturer to be sure there is no issue with your kit? Aftermarjet exhasuts are not cheap and to have to dump material and labor...
Sorry to hear. It is so difficult for aftermarket manufacturers to anticipate all possible mods, especially on a relatively new model. I ran into a fitment issue with my genesis dual battery tray and K&N filtercharger kit. They both fit but I had to move my power steering reservoir. Everything...
The difference is that the front springs are the same height in a Sport S or Rubicon. The Rubicon has a different spring rate that has a higher resting height than the Sport. The lift is the same whether it is a Sport or a Rubicon but the gain appears less on a Rubicon since it starts off...
Your front caster appears way off. Rock Krawler recommends 5.0-5.5 degrees with a 5" kit. Caster being that far off alone will give you horrible handling. The steering will wander and there will be a lot of bump steer. That could also set you up for death wobble. As others have said you need a...
I honestly cannot say I saw any changes but I must preface that by saying my JT's steering is tight and not loose as some have reported. You don't even know it is there. I installed it because I've had to rebuild the steering box on my JKU because of sector shaft bearing failure and know people...
I have the Synergy brace on my JT, will be putting the heavy duty draglink and tierod on when I install my lift. I have their steering products on my JKU and have always been really happy with it.
LOL...sorry but isn't that one of the pitfalls of owning a Jeep? LOL. Glad you like the build so far. I'm really happy with the RokBloks so far. The ones I got are the original size. Black with gray lettering. They do really help protect the truck and it takes about 2-3 minutes to unscrew the...
For what it is worth. I have about 70o miles on my JTR. Stock Rubi suspension and tires. Has many weighty mods on it already, dual battery kit, winch, steel front bumper, tools and recovery kit under 2nd row seat, etc. Averaging about 15-16mpg.
