  1. Getting a group together for Moab EJS

I'm about 15 minutes from the SLC airport. I leave for EJS the first Friday evening (that will be March 22 this year and have trail assignments usually through Wed. (I usually have Tuesday off--might do a run to Elephant Hill that day?) If you needed a place to land your JT for shipping, I'd...
  2. TIL: Traction control works off-road, even in a Rubicon!

I absolutely hated the traction control on my 2012 JKU. It's been almost transparent on my 2021 JT.
  3. Low voltage wiring company in/around Denver, CO

Since this forum has a solid reach, does anyone have any info on good data wiring companies in/around Denver? Have a smallish job (10 offices) that I need a good referral on. So far I've only found one solid vendor out of about 5-6 that I felt comfortable with. They are about 2x the cost of...
  4. Moab hotels.

Sorry to continue the hijack but I had a few pictures I took of your Snazberry in Hells Gate. If you haven't gotten those, hit me via PM and I'll figure out a way to get those to you.
  5. Moab hotels.

I'd love to see you on a trail again for EJS 2024. I'll post up my trail assignments when I get them. It was great to have you on Hells Revenge last year (I think that was the trail you were on? I thought I remembered you on Hells Gate?).
  6. Greetings from Utah!

Hells Gate wouldn't be bad at all. Mickeys Hot Tub and the Escalator will not see my JT. (At least for a few years). Spots on Hells Revenge I've never thought twice about have hit my JT pretty hard. Mostly on the hitch Poison Spider isn't a joke in a few places nowadays. For the most part...
  7. Greetings from Utah!

I have Hells Revenge (Sat) and I think Poison Spider (Sun)for Red Rock 4 Wheelers
  8. Greetings from Utah!

Headed back Labor Day weekend myself
  9. Greetings from Utah!

Welcome to Utah! Where did you end buying at?
  10. Moab Aug 12-19

I'd suggest "warming up" to Hells Revenge and Poison Spider. You'll be a better driver and your wife will be a better passenger with a Chicken Corners -Secret Spire - 3D- Seven Mile Rim- Dome Plateau workup to the Fins and Things, Hells Revenge, Poison Spider trails. I'd love to join you but...
  11. Body color match dash inserts.

I'm a Rubicon owner and agree with you. Not a fan at all of the red. With all the red thread and accents, I don't think I'll change mine though.
  12. Moab Aug 12-19

City Market (there are two grocery stores) is a place where people have historically met up to wheel in the mornings. I've not swung by there for years. You should be good to go on the trails you mention above. Just go out early in the morning or later in the afternoon. It's pretty hot from...
  13. Rockslide Engineering sliders/steps any good? How's the install?

I'm 250 lbs. Have had mine on for almost a year. No issues with durability so far
  14. Gladiator Sales Slump

I'm not sure what you're planning to tow but I'm towing a bit with my JT Rubicon deezel on 37" tires this summer. Not exactly the "Max Tow" and limited by the lift tires. My heavy utility trailer with my 3700-3900 lb Buick Skylark on it is a load. I've got to be close to 6k trailer/car...
  15. Installed 4.88’s on 40’s Diesel

I'm about to just go to the 4.56 and put my trail rig 39" BFG MT. As you allude to, I like to be close to stock + just a bit when considering gearing changes. Your experience causes me pause Gearing is a VERY subjective subject. I have run 4.88 with Kevlar MTRs on an XJ. Hated it and...
  16. Installed 4.88’s on 40’s Diesel

I'm in the same camp. You have 3.73. 4.10 will barely be noticable. 4.30 would likely be ideal but they seem not available. 4.56 and a matched tire size is probably the way to go? (That's at least how I would spend my money)
  17. Installed 4.88’s on 40’s Diesel

I'm kicking around rolling to 4.56 with the 37" tires on my EcoDiesel. Mostly for hill climbing ability while towing. I have NO issues with the truck as it is with the 3.73 gears and the 37" tires. See 8th gear a lot. Throw 5000-5500 lbs behind me and hit a hill, I think some gears would be good
  18. Brake Controller Adapter Wiring

Right, and I didn't get signal (test light wise) on the brake signal wire (I think that was green with with tracer if I remember correctly on the truck harness) until tinkering with the Tazer. I have trailer brakes now. Didn't have them before. I reset and tested any/all light/trailer fuses...
  19. Brake Controller Adapter Wiring

I hadn't turned the lights on or off with the Tazer. It's only in there to correct for my 37" tires and let me control the auto-start-stop (which isn't that big of a deal since I've left it on). I noticed that in the Tazer controller, I could turn trailer lights on or off. Thought I'd give...
  20. Brake Controller Adapter Wiring

I reset my Tazer trailer lights and now I have a controller. Lights were "on", I turned them "off", reset the Tazer, turned them "on" and reset the Tazer and now I have trailer brakes Silly Chrysler thing....
