Any chance you remember which fuse? I'm thinking I should get positive feedback through the red wire when I apply the brake. I get nothing. Can't seem to find a brake controller fuse other than 36 and possibly 37.
Red wire for brake controller matches up with green w/white tracer on the "truck"
Pretty odd as I'm not getting any power on the OEM parton of the trailer brake connector harness. The stupid box fuses are $5 instead of the normal mini cartridge fuses that are $.20.
I'd feel better if I could get any power to the factory harness and then trouble shoot the purchased pigtail...
Power to the controller. I don't have power at the factory harness. Fuse 36 and 37 appear to be good (I've swapped them back and forth---not a fan of those box type fuses)

Love my Rock Slide Engineering sliders/steps. Don't wheel the JT hard enough to really "use" the sliders. I do scrape and bump a bit on the belly and on the hitch. The sliders may get some contact but I don't think it'll be significant enough to need the extra armor. I wheel moderate trails...
I'm about to put 39" tires on my rig (I'm not but if it was just a Moab toy, that's what I'd do). I just hit the belly and the hitch a LOT in Moab. Other wheeling in the area, I'm mostly fine. To me, Hells Revenge, Poison Spider and Metal Masher are kind of my top end with the JT as it sits...
Cool report!
I'm surprised moab diner was open on Sunday.
I'm on Hells Revenge on Labor Day weekend Sat and Flat Iron Mesa for RR4W Labor Day campout. Hope someone can make it out
This was a bit of a load for my deezel (on 37" tires and 3.73 gears). Handled the freeway (I-15) without much issue at all despite the 4300' elevation. Climbing mountain passes it was not as happy at all. The car is 3900 lbs. Trailer 1600 lbs. I think some gears would certainly help if I...
I do not. I do not wheel the JT like that. Maybe in a few years? For now, it's a daily driver and a great explorer rig. Once I've "cost realized" it over a few years, maybe it morphs into something different?
There's good and bad about being out west. Unfortunately there are a LOT of people that are moving out here and it's not what it used to be. Pretty busy in places that you'd never see people at other times in the past
Oh, Toyota folks :D That explains all kinds of things :D
I will unfortunately not be able to join you at all. I've had a person that works for me pass away last month and my group is just getting put back together the last couple of weeks. I'd love to join you for a day or two assuming I...
It's a new old stock Mombasa. The one with a crappy steel ladder. I had an ARB Simpson II quite some years ago. This is not as well built as that but fine for how often I will use it.
Thoughts: decent but I wouldn't seek this particular model out. I am not one that likes to camp much. This...
