I read that Clayton make some good stuff. With 35's you need 0 lift. 35s will not hurt the factory ball joints. I would keep the lift low like 2 inches. You got plenty to spend money on,,, bumpers, rock rails, winch, overlanding equipment. Go to the Overland expo in Flagstaff in May.
If you want a nice highway street ride a performance or sport shock is not what you want. 5100s and Falcons are digressive (stiff). You can do firm springs with soft shocks and firm shocks with soft springs but not both. Front CA angle will make a stiff ride. 4 inch lift is going to transfer...
The 7 year warranty on my Gladiator will be over in 7 years. I'll start looking at Bronco in 6. You can have the new I6 , 400HP in the Gladiator next year. In years past I have had 3 Broncos.
Take it from someone that learned by doing it several times. Do it right the first time even if it costs more. Never enough money to do it right the first time but always money to do it over again.
Didn't read all 20 pages ,,, but,, TeraFlex and MetalCloak both make a larger progressive bump stop that might band-aid the issue. When I touch the suspension I'll be adding the TF ones.
That is one pricy piece of aluminum. I had rampage Recovery bumpers F & R on my JK and they were heavy boogers. I like the total front protection look.
Nothing like a good 5 gallon bucket. It does everything. Wash food and clothes. Carry water. Wash face and hands and when needed you can poop in it. The metal ones can heat water by the fire.
Just put 315-70-17 BFG KO2 Cs on and I hit 8th just like I did before. They are really only 34.25 tall. Plenty big enough for me with no other adjustments.
I just got my '22 JTR and in about 6-7 years it will have 50K on it. By then I'll be ready to get a new one and I'll be in my middle 70's. Not going to even think about the tranny fluid change.
This forum should steer clear of the global warming/ climate change debate. Not going to change anyone beliefs or feelings about it. Fact is, it's not legal to modify or remove smog devices anywhere in the US as they are Federal laws. A diesel suite I am on has banned al delete talk to avoid EPA...
Sorry, TF = Tera Flex.
Got the 315-70-17 BFG KO2s on today and it looks great with no lift. Many have said it's the perfect look for the JT. I don't want to make it a PITA to get in and out for no reason. Done Rubicon a few years ago and don't need to re-visit with this JT.
I got my 315-70-17 BFG KO2s C today. Look great, big enough for me. Will never rub. They give the factory 7.5 rims plenty of rim protection. Track better on the fwy at 80mph than the Peaks. Holds the gears and shifts great, no re program for them. Won't go to 37s ever.
Now waiting for my...
