I finally got them on the phone. Guy was real nice . He had the info. Just way too many calls for the number of people working. He said, If it shows on the suite as ready to ship, they have it ready.
Looking at the Mopar enhanced (wider) rocker rails. About a 3 1/2 inch step. Will protect the leading edge of hinges and rear fender from rock chips. Built strong like the Rubicon rock rails. They can be found but not cheap.
I have the popular 315-70-17 BFG KO2's on my factory wheels and notice some minor bowing in the tread, not bad. A 8.5 wide wheel would probably make the tire tread flatter. The added 1 inch would be on the outside, same backspace. I do like the look of Method machine finish wheels. Just wonder...
The dealer fills tires to the door sticker. They don't get paid to think.
The rear shocks are soft to ride well on the test drive before the sale. The Mopar 2 ich lift shocks are probably stiffer. There are plenty of stiff shocks out there. Falcon is one. I am going to do my suspension lift last...
That would be great. So tired of seeing people measure from ground to some point on the fender flare. I don't want to level mine because when I gen my ARE shell (200pounds) and any gear in the bed it will put it nose up. I am waiting to do my lift last so I can do it once.
I like the look of...
What is the fully extended shock length in the 2 inch kit compared to the factory Rubicon?
The 2 inch lift will lift all Gladiators to the same height minus any added weight.
Seems that people are all over the place as to how much lift you get with what version of the Gladiator. My Rubicon sits about right with only one inch higher in the rear. TerraFlex says I can use the factory shocks with no extensions with a 1.5 inch lift front and rear.
I used the floor jack...
If it were not for the government subsidizing all the EV crap there would be no EVs. I want to see the EV mfg's pay to put in all the charging stations. If they are so great let them stand on their own feet.
Got out the floor jack and the tape measure. The rear sits only 1.25 inch higher than the front. That's where I want it to allow for weight of gear. Looks like whatever lifting I do to the front I will also do to the rear. The max I want is 2 inches and 1.5 looks perfect to me, front and rear...
For all of us doing the lift mods, knowing the spring rates in pounds per inch would be helpful. When I was doing the JK, I knew what the spring rates were of several. I don't know any of them for the JT. I know and understand the rears are multi rate for a good reason. Fronts mostly linear for...
A EV would work for around town but I will always want gas for the long road trip. When all vehicles are plug in, it will be easy to control when, where, and how far you go.
Went on the Qtec suite and there is some question how much lift you get with the Mopar 2 inch lift. They say in the Q&A section that the 2 inch lift gives the Rubicon much less than 2 inches. That the Fox shocks in the 2 inch lift are the same that is on the Rubicon. Others on U tube get much...
Looking at the lift kits, looks like the Mopar 2 inch with a few items added would be a good one. Add adjustable track bars and adjustable CA's. The springs and shocks will give you the ride quality. 2 inches would really help with the belly drag.
It's simple physics. It takes energy to move mass and weight. A 5000 pound brick going 0 to 70mph is going to take some energy. There is no free lunch.
