Remember that 1000 watts of 120 is going to draw about 83 amps at 12V DC. Good luck. I am going to get a Jackery 1000 or something like it and run a switched 12V to it from my aux switches. Then I'll plug my 12V fridge and other 120V stuff into the Jackery. Then recharge the Jackery off the Jeep...
On tire rotations if they cross a nut thread they are just going to impact it down. How do you know they are all torqued down even and correctly. For the oil change, drain plug screwed, oil filter cap overtorqued, did they change the filter, what kind of oil did they really put in. I was told...
If it's pulling hard to the right then your tires will be cupping or feathering. That will indicate an alignment issue. If the tires are wearing flat then I think it's a steering box issue. I am lucky, I put BFG KO2s on in 315-70-17 and no issues.
I am still looking for a set of Mopar enhanced sliders that give a 3 1/2 inch step. I hope they are as strong as the Rubicon rails. Not going to do boulders but want some protection. Need a solid step for the dog.
Haven't we learned enough about getting stuff from chuna. Whenever I can I try to go anywhere else. I have had a good life here and I will support the home team.
My caster is set by the factory to 4.5 deg. I plan to make it closer to 6 deg with some adj front CAs. Pretty sure that will stabilize any steering. I guess i am getting used to it as it doesn't seem to be as bad as it was. Seemed to be worse with the factory Falcon's.
I will be insatlling a Bedrug also. If you put some clear epoxy on the bed liner first and let dry, the velcro will stick. Especially on the tailgate. I was told the adhesion promoter almost works. The hinge on the Classic is a tried and true simple design. My dealer is "old school" and likes...
With a spray in bedliner the velcro has a hard time sticking to the bed. I looked at the Evolve and the rear window hinge is complicated so I passed. The framed rear window looks strong and seals from dust well. Your build is top line. Congrats. I ordered mine 2 weeks ago and was told about Aug 1.
I ordered my CX Clasic a few weeks ago and hope I didn't screw up. I orderes it with the regular slider side windows and a front window that slides and hinges down for easy cleaning. The back window with the 2 locks, one on each side for strength and simplicity. I see many have the side opening...
If I was going to build a real off road JT I would look for a used Sport. With new you will void any warranty anyway. Built 60s with 40s, Atlas, Coil-overs, hydro steering, and the money pit gets very deep at that end of the pool. My Rubicon with 35's is able to get me anywhere I want. With even...
I put some JKS brackets on my 4 inch lifted JKUR and it made a huge difference in the ride. Much better. The problem is they drag on the speed bumps at the mall,,, LOL. Look at the JKS as they are really top quality. With any lift under 3 inches I would go with the adj arms for a better caster...
All white with factory black accents and then I add some more red accents. D rings, diff covers. Red rims are OK but it just puts it over the edge a little for me.
There is probably no big reason to go to 8.5s with a 35 other than you want a different look, more personalized. There may even be more arguement that a 7.5 is less likely to loose a bead and flex better with low PSI with more rim protection. But the factory rims look, well, factory. We get...
I would like it if they would just give me the oil and filters and I'll do the oil changes. I like to do my own tire rotations so I can inspect everything. Plus that's when I clean the inside of the rims and check for thrown weights. The bond between man and machine is a beautiful thing.
