Lol nope. I have flexibility to wfh and my work is only 8 minute drive away. We got it last year as we were rebuilding our old 1 car garage into a 2 car. Also have a 15 month old now so last year we didn’t have capacity to camp.
i got the extended warranty for 10 years, 70k miles. It’s really...
Adding the sound assassins isn’t something I did but does add a small layer of complexity to the project.
Lining up the drains isn’t the problem, it’s lining everything else up and being able to smack the plastic from the pillars back into place. I am too lazy to make a second run at it...
good to know and thanks for the feedback. A shop I rely on for most of my work sells slide master and has done a ton of installs. They usually get a break on the price so I’ll check to see what the total install is.
Beyond the fit issues you had with the slide, how has it held up over the long term? Rust? Issues due to dust/dirt/snow/rain/etc? I’m wondering if they’ve improved since then. I saw an interesting set up - someone put a slide master in the gladiator and then an ez-slide on top of that! In case...
While Not quite ready for a lift (just under 2700 miles on a year old gladiator as I’m working on building it up), I am looking very closely at this. I have the extended warranty and doubt I’ll hit the mile expiration (80k) before the years (10 years).
It makes sense to me to go the mopar...
Has anyone heard any additional details about this new package? I’m wanting to see how the shocks compare to the 5100s and what the other parts are comparable to
absolutely. I only did verticals to conserve space but a lot of people I see post similar set ups on IG do horizontal. You may want an extra hole drilled for extra nut but should be fine.
lol Is jeep listening? Would be shocked (pun intended). But this actually fixes my issue. $300 less than current quotes and bilstein like the AEV kit I was looking at…
While I’m still wary on the Oracle taillights, I can vouch for their headlights and fog lights (despite having to replace them after a month due to getting a new bumper but that’s on me).
The communication they have in this thread should be a testament to how good their Customer Service is...
Hate to bring up an oldish thread but I’m also considering this. I spoke to my dealers today and the two I called said the price were ridiculous.
One near me said $2300 for the parts and with 4 hours of labor plus tax is 4k. That is insane but they’re also pricks (white plains jeep for anyone...
I love mine. So easy to clean. PITA to install as others have noted. I never quite got my trim aligned back though. I would probably have to remove the seats and spend another few hours working on it to do it. I’m just not finding myself in the mood and it’s been 7 months.
Alright boys, last update. Adjusted height which meant drilling some new holes. Used some epoxy clay to fill the old ones.
upgraded to some larger washer and got some vinyl nuts for good measure.
took the drink template out and threw in recovery straps for now. Another box seems logical since...
Quick update. End result aint too bad. I think I need to go get some bigger washers tomorrow and flip it upside down because it sits a bit too low. Flipping should fix it. I would recommend the mount plate be a little closer to the middle than where i placed mine.
