If you have the room to store the top in your garage then as people have mentioned, one or two people can remove it fairly easily. The hoist is convenient as you can leave the top in the air and park under it if space is more of an issue.
I built a hoist system for my JKU and it was super simple to use. I've since moved and that stayed in the garage (also worked for storage).
I just got my Bestop Sunrider for Hardtop the other day and once that is installed I may not fully remove the top that often. Maybe once a year? If you...
They're like cable companies. They want to charge you top dollar but when you threaten to leave they give you great deals. I enjoy the service, but I'm not paying more for music than for Netflix.
Everyone has different preferences. Personally, I wasn't a fan of Gladiators when I first saw them. I had owned 6 Wranglers in the previous 25 years or so and absolutely loved them. When the Mojave was announced I thought I'd give the JT another chance. I was able to figure out what it was that...
The area where I go on the sand (Silver Lake Sand Dunes) in Michigan, most people air down to below 15 psi and some go below 10. LOTS of soft sand there.
I came from a '16 Hydro Blue JKU and ordered my JT in July of '21. I would have LOVED to have gotten Gobi or even Gator if either was available. They weren't so I stuck with Hydro Blue.
Hail Hydro!
LOL
Bummer… From the JL pic I was hoping it would be a little more unique.
I had the Bestop Sunrider for Hardtop on my JK. As soon as spring hits here in Michigan I’ll get the same thing for my Mojave.
How much use are they going to get as a step and who is going to be using it...? In my case, I'm 6'4" 230 and will not use it. My wife is 5'4" 125 and will use it. I think if I used them all the time I'd be worried about their longevity. I don't have any concerns with my wife using them.
EDIT -...
Yeah, I installed them on my Mojave. IMO, these are not great if you already have the factory sliders. I may have tried something else that involved removing the factory sliders and just sold those.
Got mine today. Unboxed and looked at the brackets to see how things are going to work with the OEM sliders. It looks like all of the main brackets are going to marry up fine. I've only looked at the driver's side so far but it looks like the only pinch weld bracket that will work is the front...
