It may well be the way I drive and I just never noticed it before. In terms of the way the lights are connected it's a 4 way under the front bumper not connected to anything unless it's being towed. The wires go under the jeep to the tail lights and connect between the factory wire harness to...
I was under the impression from my research that when the truck senses a trailer wiring harness connected, it changes shift points and locks out higher gears.
Hello Gladiator Forum. I searched both the forum and AI and came up empty handed. I have a '22 Gladiator Overland that I have set up to flat tow behind a motorhome. I used a kit to enable the jeep tail lights and turn signals to work like a trailer. I never noticed an issue until recently...
The construction is very good for a travel trailer. We went with the 16ML for its size and weight originally, but we do really like the layout for a small traielr. Would I go bigger? Probably. There seems to be plenty of power, but the transmission doesn't seem to know what to do. I tend to...
Thank you for the info. Finally got it off with some wood shims working my way around the pan. Then very carefully used a flat scraper a scotchbrite pad and some brake cleaner to get the rest of the RTV off. That stuff is bonded well! Now the installation!!
I decided to change out the oil pan to a Larger PPE Aluminum one to hopefully get a little cooling action when towing. Jeep is on the hoist, oil is drained, bolts are removed, I can not get the pan to break loose. Any Suggestions?
The aux. battery powers electronics when the Electronic Stop/Start system is active. I disconnected my ESS as it was very annoying. It is my understanding that In order for the systems that are powered by the aux. battery to keep being powered by the main battery after the Aux is removed, you...
Very soon after I purchased my Gladiator, I pulled one of the hood plungers out of the harness and layed it down to disable the ESS. I won't ever use it again so I would like to just get rid of the aux battery all together. No sense in waiting for it to go bad or take out the main battery, or...
Congratulations! I have the sister to that trailer, the Grand Design AIM 16ML. I've been pleased with the way the Gladiator tows it. We've pulled it about 4,000 miles so far. I started with the wireless brake controller also, but felt more comfortable with the Mopar set up in that the chances...
I changed both Diff covers to ARB, and love the look. Now thinking of changing to the PPE Aluminum oil pan. Is the oil pan gasket reusable like the differentials? I can't seem to find an after market oil pan gasket and just a personal preference, I am not a fan of RTV. Thanks! Greg
We went with the Grand Design 16ML. Great floorplan for a small camper, awesome construction, massive heated tanks. Had mine weighed fully loaded at 4600 pounds. Well within the 6K tow specs. We've towed from North Carolina to Michigan and back with no issues.
Hopefully, this worked for Pics... First picture is of the hood damage, small dents, I know, but it "was" flawless. Second pic is with the new hood, new latches, new bumper and winch. Passenger fender is pulled away from the body and hanging down a bit, but repair shoudl be done next week. Greg
Update: For the life of me, I can't get pictures to post, so my apologies. I decided to go with the Rubitrux Rubicon take off hood. I did want the Mojave hood from All Mopar Parts, but after shipping and prep/paint, it was essentially almost double the price. I was on a business trip this...
