Yeah, I didn't want to get into all the extra parts needed for the Mojave hood. That's why I opted for Rubi.
Also if you are on a weight budget, the Mojave hood being made of steel is also much heavier vs. the Rubicon or other trims hoods that are made of aluminum.

Curtting a tree down in my back yard and used the Gladiator to ensure it didn't fall the wrong direction... Yeah, I know. As you would expect, it landed squarely on the hood and passenger fender. About $4K in damages. Tust me, I got all the jabs from my wife and insurance agent. The Gladiator is an Overland, but as long as I'm changing the hood, I'd like to upgrade to a Rubicon hood.

Here's my question. I can get a new one from the body shop, have it painted and installed, or I can get a new take off online, already painted for roughly the same price. Is a factory paint job better than I can get from a body shop? That is really the only difference. The used hood in question is from a Jeep modification company and the hood has less than 1,000 road exposure miles. Thanks for the input. GH

Awesome, thanks for the links! I'm going to go new Mojave hood. The price difference is minimal. I like the hood scoop of the Mojave better, but thought it may be a PITA with everything needed, but Allmoparparts made it easy with the kit. Just waiting on shipping costs which I'm sure will be in the $400 range...
Make sure you inbox Benny he will give you a code to get a shipping discount.

Update: For the life of me, I can't get pictures to post, so my apologies. I decided to go with the Rubitrux Rubicon take off hood. I did want the Mojave hood from All Mopar Parts, but after shipping and prep/paint, it was essentially almost double the price. I was on a business trip this week and was able to adjust my route to get to Rubitrux. Putting the Rubicon hood in a Malibu was comical, but we got it wrapped up and secured (mostly) in the trunk. Once home, I added the Rugged Ridge Venator front bumper and a Badland 12K Synthetic rope winch. Still need the body shop to fix the fender, but so far I'm very happy with the look and results. Hopefully, this worked for Pics... First picture is of the hood damage, small dents, I know, but it "was" flawless. Second pic is with the new hood, new latches, new bumper and winch. Passenger fender is pulled away from the body and hanging down a bit, but repair shoudl be done next week. Greg
