I am considering putting PPF on the paint match fenders on my Mojave X. But given how gnarly off-roading can get (rocks, branch scrapes, etc) do you think PPF will be sufficient? I’m also considering doing the hood just to protect and preserve this car as long as I can.
Any advice you guys have is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Ah. Well in answer to OP then: It depends really where on “Earth” you Intend on wheeling. For branches and the various cacti of the desert you’d need to do basically the entire sides of the jeep to achieve protection. Having said that rocks and trees leave pretty good gouges and rubs so it most won’t defend against that. Pin stripes are kinda part of it. If you’re super careful most of them will buff out with a good wash and wax. Never fails you’ll get into a situation where there’s going to be contact with the local flora/fauna. Depending on budget I wouldn’t apply PPF unless you’re really AR about your paint job. Way better places to put your cash.

self healing PPF will help prevent bushes and branches causing pinstripe scratches. Scraping against a rock wall? forget about it.

The front fenders are already fully ppf'd if they are painted unless it's changed but this was the case in 21 and 22. The rears have the little patches of ppf.

PPF really does help protect paint. Have it on my Mojave, hood, fenders, door hinges.
I would recommend!

I've had PPF on two gladiators. My only regret was on my 2022 I only did the hood and fenders. My 2024 is fully covered. I'm not rubbing rock walls, and no it won't help that, but I pass by plenty of brush and branches and no pinstripes for me. I've had to replace the PPF on one rear fender once because it took a bad rock hit from the highway, but the PPF took the hit and saved the paint. A lot less than repainting a fender.
