I wrapped half of the hood with a precut piece I found online. I think it was like 150 bucks. It was a bit tricky, but I really wanted to protect the leading edge of the hood and the Rubicon hood "hump" as I can imagine those sections of the hood are rock magnets. I was able to get 90% of the air bubbles out, and the rest slowly went away after a few weeks in the sun. Overall, i'd do it again in a heartbeat.

I also added Rockstopperz to all of the door hinges and hood hinges. I think that should come with all JL's and JT's as the hinges are prone to chipping.

I’m also a little OCD about scratches and the cool thing with PPF is that you can just wipe bugs and other debris off without worrying about scratching the paint. I also have a child and the PPF prevents scratches from all the random touches.
same boat, I really like that you can wipe down with a damp rag or even a dry rag if its just dusty without worry of creating any swirling or hairline scratches in the paint. Of course I have a problem with OCD and new car anxiety and am frequently wiping down my gladiator late at night in the garage when no one is looking.

props on the self install, i couldn't bring myself to even try.
No way in hell i'd attempt a full vehicle wrap. But I figured even if I messed it up it was "only" like 150 bucks. It turned out pretty good, there is still like 5 pesky air bubbles that wont come out, but I can live with it.
