Why would one need new axles if you do a hemi swap?
The extra power? The diesel has 400+ torque. So the stock axles should hold up fine to the 5.7.
It is interesting that the gladiator has ~8.5” ring gear and the grand Cherokee has 9”.
But heck, older Dodge Vipers used an aluminum d44...
Duratrac
They’ve been great in snow, wet, cold/hot roads, rain, slush, and do very well Offroad.
After losing a couple of sidewalks on BFG A/T’s, i gave up on them and went Goodyear Duratrac.
For M/T, I’m still a fan of BFG M/Ts
Open deck gets better cooling but has less bore support. In higher hp motors with higher pressures, the bore can deflect a bit. This does bad things to pistons and other parts. ie BOOM!
Closed deck gives the most support to the bores.
More goes in to it and I only know enough to make myself...
I agree with the rest, go drive a few different trims and base your decision on how you like them + what your budget/price point is.
Sounds like a Sport or Willy’s would be great for you.
As everyone has already said, not sure why I’m even posting; but, there are no cons to 35s on a stock diesel rubi.
I’ve been there, loved it.
I then added 2” of lift and can’t wait for my 35s to wear out so I can go 37s.
