After the Bronco has been out for a year or so I will consider a 2 door to replace our JL.
I am not a rock crawler and the IFS ride quality interest me more than it is a turn off.
Actually the turbo only motors are more of a turn off.
I do like what Ford has done with the roofs and doors vs the...
Just received my set today.
Looking over the parts and instructions, I am wondering if it would be better to use OEM type plastic rivets?
I have the gun and rivets from putting OEM type flaps on my JL.
Because idiots will crush their (or someone's) head or arms in the window with that function.
Or drop the windows during a monsoon or other inappropriate time causing damage or injury.
Unfortunately we now have to make life as safe as possible for idiots vs letting natural selection run its...
I do know it was new or newer stock.
They said they have been replacing quite a few of them and we were lucky they had one, some folks have had to come back after they tested things and found the battery(s) bad and they had replacements in stock.
Did yours ever start working again?
When they replaced the battery in our JL they also said it could take a while before the ESS would work.
However, it worked on the drive home, around 5 miles from the dealer and so far seems functional again.
We still tend to turn it off most of the time, but...
I know I am probably an oddball here, but I would have been very interested in a 2 door extended cab with the 5' bed and a freedom panel hard top.
I prefer a shorter wheel base and turn radius.
I like the idea of having freedom panels with a short rear section that I can remove/install...
I think one reason why the app doesn't work at times and is sloooow is that I am NOT in a city.
I live in the boonies and my work is another 15 miles further out.
In rural areas the maps kind of suck too. Numerous roads don't really exist.
Not sure why but Google maps seems to ignore these.
The...
Those that have had the 8.4's a while, what is Sirius Guardian/Uconnect app costing you a month after the trial is over?
It looks like its $20-25 per month if you want the remote lock/unlock/start.
Are you getting any breaks on it?
Pretty sure the 8.4 and the tech package are an either/or, you dont do (or get charged) both.
The tech package is the 7".
Both my JL & Gladiator have a UBS C in the dash media port along with a full size USB
My 2 cents on the 8.4.
I got mine only because it came with my 80th and I like the "look" of the 80th.
The way it worked out it was less than I could get any Sport S in a 300 mile radius, so it was kind of a no brainer for me as I was not looking for a Max tow..
The Nav sucks, its worse than...
I could easily see a handle mounted camera that rotates up/back as you lift the handle and lower the tailgate. And then back down when you lift the tailgate and it latches. Heck it could even have a mid point that works when its in the middle position for plywood/lumber.
I guess what I envision is 2 cameras on the tail gate.
One facing as it does and another facing upwards so its facing back when the tailgate is down.
Maybe the 2nd one located up in the handle/third brake light area.
Kind of spoiled by back up cameras now.
I have not had a truck in years, and none had cameras, so I never knew better.
They also all had longer beds and I dont remember having the tailgate down as much as I do now.
VERY disappointed that they dont have a second camera or some other set up for...
Not sure what you mean by insurance and extra options.
Is that mostly money gone, like nitrogen in the tires and a $1000 wax job?
Or is it something that really is a monthly expense that could be negated by re-financing through somewhere like a local credit union?
Yup, I wave but it can get tiring.
There are FAR more Jeeps around than there are any of my other vehicles that also do the wave thing.
I wave to a ton more Jeeps than I see and wave to other motorcycles, and I commute on my bikes.
Its a real rare chance I see and wave to another Miata.
My...
