That's how I began, figured using the ball on the side.
Did not care for it as you had to align the mirror each and every time you put it on/off.
Every time you loosen the ram arm enough to get it on/off the ball, the mirror moves.
I cant reach the mirror in that location either, so those...
I haven't been impressed with the jeep nav and would not pay to update it.
Oddly its based on Garmin, but somehow works much worse than any of my Garmin devices do.
When I need reliable on road navigation.....its google maps through android auto.
When I want off-road stuff/tracks, its Gaia...
I run a Proclip mount with both a magnetic phone holder and a ram ball.
Mount the tablet with a slipgrip holder to the ram ball.
It works, but I would think one of the more robust mounts (vs the Proclip) might be better.
The Slipgrip holder and ram stuff is solid, use it on my motorcycles.
Do you need 2 mirrors to be legal?
I only use the one.
Here in Florida I don't even need it, the standard rear view meets the legal requirements
Yea, there are knock offs for every one of the parts.
I dont know if I would go the Enduro mirror route, the field of view from the Adventure mirror...
Dang, thought I spelled it out well enough.

You are more correct than you think.
Not the seats in the bed though (my Brat didn't have the seats)
The Brat tops stored behind the seats and had straps to hold them back there.
The wingy look flip up was a nice feature too.
They cover the threaded ends of the pins on the doors with a nice rounded part that just lines up and slips into the hinge easier. For me, also less stress about gouging something with the existing threaded/blunt end parts.
Not really the best example, as the ones I have are a lot more rounded...
Why would you not want them?
They make removing/installing the doors easier and lessen the chance that you will scratch the hell out of your paint or bugger the hinge.
If you want tool-less and nothing remaining when removed, my set up might be what you want.
Its a Double take adventure motorcycle mirror with a RAM Tough-claw, small size w/1" ball and a 3" long RAM arm 1" ball size.
They keep their adjustment and you can pop them on/off the grab handle in...
I have put a soft roll up on all my trucks, starting with custom snap types back in the 80's.
They have all been inexpensive, with the Odero/Colorado one I have on my JT being only $115
I like to take my motorcycles places and still have the cover to use once I am there.
I also like to be able...
Do you have one of the freedom panel seals messed up?
On our JL if you are not careful you can get one of the back seal pieces sticking up.
I think its the passenger side panel seal and the drivers side is supposed to sit over it.
By the manual you are supposed to remove the corners when you remove the back window.
The back window pretty much is what keeps them on and they do slip out easy once the window is off.
They might not pop out, but I wouldn't risk it.
Removing The Rear Window And Quarter
Panel Cover Assemblies...
The $800 has been the tough spot for me.
I just picked up a used one for my wifes Wrangler for $350 and even that was a bit hard to justify.
IMO IF you have to have a hardtop, these are a great option.
They are less "open" than just removing the panels and "feel" much less open than the soft top...
Been pleasantly surprised how well we like the truck tent.
Kind of bought it on a whim, but it has been enjoyable.
FAR better than regular tent camping.
Trailer is definitely easier, particularly with 2 bikes or heavy ones.
But there are times and situations that its better/handier not to have a trailer and just throw them in the back.
