So you have never pulled the full doors on any of your jeeps, but you know they are too heavy and hard to do?
I will say they are a bit cumbersome, but they are lighter and easier than the JK doors were.
I assume with this design the removable inner doors could be made much lighter than the...
I have been trying to figure these out.
I am guessing that the the inner door detaches from the exo-skeleton frame.
If the hinge is attached and most wiring runs to the exo-skeleton frame (has the mirrors and door locks?) than this could be easier.
Yea, if you are a door pin storage type, it...
Brake lock still works in 4WD low on my JL.
Don't really off road the JT, but suspect its the same.
I think its pretty good myself too for the occasional obstacle.
Set up to me is easier than a ground tent and much cleaner.
My ground tents would always be full of sand in short order.
FWIW I am 6'-5" and just fit in ours.
Yup, I have got one of these too.
Used it to put on mud flaps on both my JL & JT.
Agree, the rivets that came with it were very similar.
Have used them on other automotive/motorcycle projects too, WELL worth the purchase IMO.
I have a 5 layer cover for my JL 2 door that I have been happy with for those times I have the hard top and doors removed.
It was quite affordable, not real bulky and seems reasonably weather proof.
I see that Master top now offers a similar 5 layer top at a reasonable price ($80) for the JT...
Although the trailer is not super heavy (GVWR 5500lbs/646 lbs hitch weight ), I think our bed size is a no go.
The Escape 5.0 targets trucks with a minimum 5’6″ bed and suitable payload/tow capacity.
How long are your ramps?
I went with 9' folding ramps as they gave me the longest ramp that would still fit in the bed length wise with the tailgate closed.
Every 10' ramp I found were over 5' folded.
Black widow has some really long ones (12') for Harley and customs.
WAY over kill but I have a set of 9' Titan HD Wide 4 beam ramps.
Got them used for a very good deal, not sure I would pop for what a new set cost.
Makes loading bikes a breeze. They have enough capacity I could load my Miata with them.
I say overkill, but the extra width is really nice and...
For street motorcycles with low ground clearance, it is for the break over.
Had plenty of them get hung up trying to use straight ramps in the past.
Depending on the ground clearance I could see other applications benefiting from the arched ramps.
Yup, It doesn't look right to me either.
Maybe an issue with the fabric fit to the back of the unit, but I hope he didn't break the Z-clip already.
@Bigbrownpilot any excessive noise on the road at speed from that side?
Mine is an ODERO.
I found it for $117 on ebay for the 5' bed Chevy Colorado. (Fits fine)
They sell one specific for the Gladiator, bet it's the same cover.
Been on over a year and its holding up well.
If I get 5-6 years out of it I will be happy.
For us if there is no roof over structure, the popup canopy and rug/mat are must haves. Keeps the inside of the tent much cleaner and just makes hanging out, cooking and what not more enjoyable. A small broom too.
Our mat is a woven plastic material, real easy to clean.
We are using a queen...
