There are areas in Calif that don't do smog testing. One is not far from me. Can JT's in those areas get a Hemi without any testing. I don't want to deal with an out of state plate.
I should probably putting it into 4x4 low and doing the lockers just to make sure they still work. Along with the sway bar disco. The spiders are always going crazy but never herd of them having an issue.
My Diffs don't need a drain as my ARB covers do have one. New oil in when I installed them. I'll do an oil change at 50K just for fun. The front R&P only move when in 4x4 mode.
When I am working on my Jeep, I am in my happy place. Sometimes I detail it just to relax and un wind. I have fallen asleep laying under it. I've never paid for an oil change, brake job, tire rotation, or wash. I am blessed with a body that can still do that stuff.
The vast majority of the ZF 8 speed trans are just fine but sadly that's not true for all of them. If your ZF is working perfectly be thankful . When the 392 is in the JT there will also be a HD trans with it along with a full time transfer case. .
It's the trans for sure. Only does it once after sitting. If it was other things it would do it all the time in D and R. Just like the cams, Jeep knows what it is . Jeep just hopes we mod enough to void the warranty.
This ZF trans is used in lots of luxury cars. Do you think they have this same clunk issue? No Bentley owner will put up with this trans issue. I can't believe that we are all told this is normal. Are we all just sheep? We all have to play games with the trans.
Looks like I have a hard plastic spacer about 2 inch. The best and easy way to do it is pull the front springs. UGH!! Another project for a different day.
So the MC bumpstops do not compress as much as factory. So I would have to remove some bump stop spacer? I would hope I can just expand the front spring and feed them between the coils. Spring remove is a real PITA.
