  1. Bedliner fail

lol. I actually went and took a look at mine, and they did the same thing. Broke my clip, and left portions of the metal uncoated in the cut out. This is what I get for not getting mad in the first place. Then again, I made another thread on here about a dealer dropping a door on my jeep and...
  2. Bedliner fail

But if they paint it and coat it, it should be fine? I see how this is concerning...
  3. Bedliner fail

That was meant for the post I quoted. Since he specifically said he would be concerned with it not being flush. Was wondering if there was something else I should be concerned about not being flush other than just how it looks... as for the paint, the paint is destroyed to put the liner in there...
  4. Bedliner fail

What’s the concern with it not being flush? I don’t think they broke my clips, but a few days after getting my liner done one of the lights fell out. I put it back in, but it no longer sits flush assuming due to the thickness of the liner not allowing it to clip. It hasn’t fallen out since, but...
  5. Question about spare tire and speedo calibration when getting bigger tires

Hey all, First question: When most of you upgrade wheels and/or get bigger tires, what do you do with the spare? I'd imagine if you have a 31" spare and get 35" tires, the spare is essentially useless at that point? Do you get a tire of equivalent height for the spare (width would probably...
  6. Need some education on wheels/tires/lifts

Bare with me, I'm new to Jeeps and offroading in general. I have a Sport S Max Tow.. My first question is, can I fit 33s-35s on there without a lift? My second question is, if I can, do I need a lift anyway? I live in Florida, I don't think we really have rock crawling like the mountain...
  7. Black steel Sport wheels

I doubt many will have them. All the dealerships I went to when looking for mine didn't have any base sports and didn't really seem to want to order one either. I initially wanted a base sport with a manual... but ended up going sport S max tow after going dealer to dealer and also hearing some...
  8. Brought my jeep in to check a steering issue and the dealer dropped a door on it.

Have my Jeep back, they definitely didn't give me a new top as they said. Looks like they either repaired mine, or pulled another off of another vehicle. At this point, I just wanted my vehicle back. So now I'm still just monitoring the steering issues for any changes since the initial...
  9. Drove a Wrangler today... My Gladiator definitely has much looser steering.

I find it interesting that this community seems to have a surprisingly large amount of people that are quick to dismiss any type of issue people claim to have with these vehicles. Despite an increasing amount of people having these issues, their response always seems to be that those of us with...
  10. Brought my jeep in to check a steering issue and the dealer dropped a door on it.

They gave you a car that’s valued at 10k more for the same price? Yeah, I’d say they did right by you too. I’d say you came out on top in every sense. Now, if they simply repaired your new mustang, or left you to just make an insurance claim, would you feel entitled to not be happy?
  11. Brought my jeep in to check a steering issue and the dealer dropped a door on it.

You'd lose a dollar. Not that a free oil change is any better.
  12. Drove a Wrangler today... My Gladiator definitely has much looser steering.

Long story short, my jeep had some steering noise, brought it in, they damaged the truck, so now it's getting repaired and I have a Wrangler as a loaner. So while my initial steering complaint was different to the loose steering issue a lot have had, I have definitely noticed loose steering...
  13. Brought my jeep in to check a steering issue and the dealer dropped a door on it.

Again, I'm not making a big deal. But I will remember how valued/not valued I am as a customer I was with this dealership when making a future 40k dollar+ purchase. I wouldn't want the costs to go on the mechanic/lot guy, I don't even see how that's legal, but I also don't see how if that was...
  14. Brought my jeep in to check a steering issue and the dealer dropped a door on it.

That's my biggest issue through all of this. It has been pretty much been ignored... All they've told me is they cant recreate it and when I tell them I can show them they say they have to recreate it in service and what they've heard is normal. Despite the video.
  15. "Truck" or "Jeep"?

If you tell someone to meet you somewhere and that you drive a Jeep, they're going to look for about 50 different wrong cars in the lot first.
  16. Brought my jeep in to check a steering issue and the dealer dropped a door on it.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not a "speak to the manager" kind of person. I'm not going to pout and yell and scream, especially in current times. I know the limitations of what they have to do, but there's also a level of what you should do to keep customer trust with people that spend a lot of money...
  17. Brought my jeep in to check a steering issue and the dealer dropped a door on it.

I just feel like if I walked into the dealership and accidentally damaged one of their vehicles, they wouldn't have an "accidents" happen mindset. This is a dealership that has 42k of my money for a new vehicle that I bought from them and they damaged it. It is not only an inconvenience for me...
  18. Brought my jeep in to check a steering issue and the dealer dropped a door on it.

Well, they initially offered to have the body shop "repair" it. Which upset me, I told them I wanted a new top, which it seems I'll be getting now, we will see when I go in. Honestly, I think I should get additional compensation, credit or something, for this hassle and damage to the vehicle I...
  19. Brought my jeep in to check a steering issue and the dealer dropped a door on it.

Just thought I'd share my recent misfortune. I noticed recently that my steering pump (or whatever the preferred term for the hydraulic/electric assisted steering is in these cars) was making a lot of noise, it essentially sounded like a large amount of air coming out of the steering column when...
