Here in Germany, the tires must not be older than 6 years if you want to go up to 62 mph.
In addition the trailer needs a special approval for the extended speed.
Without that you can go up to 50 mph.
In contrast to many other regulations we have, I find this one sensible.
I just bought this...
My garage is so small, the Gladiator barely fits in.
In addition I squeezed in a Hazet tool trolley and a scissor lift which are both not accessible ...
Was ment more like a joke.
I assume if I would have had the chance to get a JTR cheaper than a JTOD in Germany I most likely would have chosen the JTR, specificially because I am not a Diesel fan.
But after nearly 25K absolut troublefree miles on the JTOD I would immediately select it again...
Thank you.
Cost was arround 5,5K USD (4,7K EUR). Curb weight is 1400 lbs, admissible total weight is 6000 lbs.
Trailer is equiped with surge brakes and stabilizing hitch. Rated speed is 80 mph, permissible speed in Germany is 62 mph (if tow vehicle weight is above 5000 lbs).
I could imagine that 3D-printing (metal) would be an option.
Up to now I don't have this problem but I don't use the button too often but would be interested if the same issue appears in my car.
Just finished a trip to Italy where I joined a local Jeep meeting.
Was quite a fun but the track was much too narrow for the Gladiator, so after one lap I finished.
I wanted to take some pictures with my drone but somehow pressed the wrong button so here is just a movie taken during the lunch...
