I see this often. It wasn't my experience. It was absolutely drivable with stock 4.10. I did so for a couple of years with bumper/winch, rack/rtt. It was pulling a 2000lb (loaded) trailer up the mountain that forced the regear. I do feel that it does daily drive better with the 5.13.
Was on 4.10 and 37s (Toyo R/T and now Baja Boss AT) for a couple of years. Daily driving was fine. I know it's slow so I don't stress over it. Didn't even think about 8th gear, only when I read about it on here. But going up the mountains on the weekend was a little sucky at times. Then I...
I like it. Looks like a complete product with interior build out included. But at 976lbs, that's a lot of dry weight for the gladiator. Comparatively, I think the alucab camper is 550lbs kitted out.
Was able to do some rearranging and organizing the back of the truck. Still a work in progress. Got out this past weekend and found out some issues with the single drawer design. I need more storage space LOL. Will need to add another level/deck. Also accidentally left my air up hose in the...
Works well for a family of 5 to get deep into the trails. It does take more work to setup than a tear drop but it provides more space for additional gear too.
I think 11" is a little too big, especially in a small cockpit like the Gladiator. The a9 is 8.7". I might get that. It's about the same size as the iPad mini which works well for a lot of folks. I tried hanging my S8 plus and that 12" got in the way of everything.
The problem is lower impedence speakers (3ohms in this case) is harder on the amplifiers, especially one that is built into the head unit. Lower impedence may sound louder, but can also be more distorted when not driven by an impedence matching amp.
I usually do 15-18 psi. Wheels like teraflex and Method have enhanced bead grip or bead lock lip that supposedly allows you to go lower. I have the Teraflex Nomads.
I read your post and understood it. I was just pointing out the big advantage of the system may not be speed, but rather one of convenience. I'm getting older and lazier. I try to design my whole build based on convenience and ease of use. Have fun out on the trail!
The "physics" for me is being down on my knees airing up one tire at a time is painful. It's much easier to plug in all four, grab a soda and talk to my buddies a for a few minutes, then go and uplug the cables. It's become an enjoyable break to chat with my friends after the ride while we air up.

Been running this system for over 3 years before all these other ones came out to market. One of the best Jeep mods. That along with Teraflex nomad wheels with air down valve...
See this line of popular argument quite often and it really doesn't make sense. You are just conflating the reduction of polution and zero polution. They are not the same thing. End result is you are reducing polution with renewables. Its a poor argument to say, 'well, since you can't get...
To me, it's a wash. If you rotate all five, then you'll have to replace all 5. I run a relatively inexpensive spare 37" spare. I'm on my second set of 37s and still may not ever touch the spare (hopefully). You can use jscan or jl mini. I switched to the Jscan so that I don't have to mess...
As stated, total coal is 2.xx% which include import. CA produce 0.13% from coal. Yes, miniscule. We do get a high percentage from natural gas. But it's way less than half at around 36%. Most of our energy is from renewables and non green house gas. Also, we produce more than 2/3 of hour...
