  1. Mojave vs Rubicon? Help me decide!

I don't think so. Comparing it to the Rubicon is apples-and-oranges. Different tools for different jobs. There are very useful upgrades. Much better suspension, stronger frame and knuckles, one inch lift in the front, wider track, better bolstered seats. I chose it because of the crappy...
  2. What was your ride before the JT?

Dang! That is a beautiful machine!
  3. The most important accessory you can buy

The Nextbase 222 works well for me. No rear camera, though. Records whenever the engine is running and has bump alert record, too.
  4. ESS - Rate It

Doesn't bother me one bit with the 6-speed. The list of conditions for it to work are long...it has only worked once, and that was when I was showing someone how it works. Normally, it never happens during everyday driving.
  5. Trim Levels, is it worth it?

Went in wanting a Rubi Wrangler, because, you know, that's what's "cool." Once I researched everything, I found out about the Mojave, and I was all-in on the JT. The suspension and tougher components are absolute game changer on the pitiful roads here in Eastern Montana.
  6. Thank You For Supporting TUWA Pro! GIVEAWAY ALERT - MOAB Bed Rack System

Done! Just got into Jeep life, so I'm looking forward to hitting some trails and doing some overlanding/camping up here in Beautiful Montana.
  7. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Swapped out the soft top for my new-to-me (used) hardtop before the Montana winter hits. Very happy with the fit!
  8. Get a duck yet?

An article about ducking and how it got started: https://www.cartalk.com/cars-content/jeep-ducking-its-a-thing?fbclid=IwAR1Deuczh8cNZMVpbXpsHNFJXHWNF4MfXuewoNtb4phVbOfe58z8Q97pNcM I actually get a kick out of it. Why not do something nice for someone once in a while? The only problem...
  9. So jeep has this deal buy 3 get 1 for a dollar which 37

Had KO2s on my last truck and I loved them. Fantastic tire, even at that price.
  10. What was your ride before the JT?

2011 Nissan Titan Pro-4X that I bought new in 2010. Absolutely loved that truck; best vehicle I have ever owned. With the used-car values and some upcoming work that had to be done on it, it was a good time to trade. Still have a 2017 Nissan Titan XD, though, to pull the camper.
  11. Wash or vacuum the interior?

This is exactly my thought. I'll just do the normal vacuum and wipe clean for a couple years and replace with Armorlite. The problem is, NOTHING stays clean here in Eastern Montana....there is dust EVERYWHERE. During spring and fall, the Weathertechs are just about full of mud and dirt...
  12. If you could do it over - What would you change?

I actually like the look of the halogens better than the LED's. Seems more traditional "Jeep" than the LED's. They are on the dim side, but the bulbs can be changed.
  13. If you could do it over - What would you change?

Bought mine off the lot and it was the only 6-speed Mojave within 1000 miles of me, so there isn't much I could have done differently other than order and wait. I'm extremely happy with it, but IF I could have exactly what I wanted, I would have just added the proximity button door locks and...

  15. Do We Have a 4 Wheel Parts 4WP Rep Here?

I have to say, they messed up my wheel order a few years back. I got three of the wheel I ordered and one of the same wheel with a different offset. Simple, honest mistake, most likely. They were great when I called them and had the new wheel shipped that day. They paid for shipping back of...
  16. Who else is happy with the Pentastar?

We have the 3.6 in our Grand Caravan and I have always loved it; The transmission holds it back, though. The 3.6 in the Mojave feels like kind of a dog, but with the 6-speed it's serviceable. Probably just the weight difference and gearing. It's just about impossible to use 6th gear on the...
  17. Buying a car for a family member when they get old enough to drive

My dad bought me my first three cars back in the late 80's/early 90's. All together, they cost about the same as the car we recently bought my daughter. There were no part-time jobs where we live, so she couldn't have bought her own. Now that she is at college and working a job, she is...
  18. Longest Continuous Drive in Your JT?

Put 700+ miles on it driving it home after picking it up two states away.
  19. Let's talk fuel

https://iowarfa.org/ethanol-center/e15/e15-facts/ A lot of good info here. It states that all vehicles manufactured from 2001-present can use E-15.
  20. Let's talk fuel

This is the way I understood it. E-15 (15%) is the GREATEST percentage of ethanol it can handle.
